Osram night "breaker" dude. And no it doesn't come in 35w/55w coz its a car bulb and only comes in pairs. But you should only be concerned with the /55w part coz as long as that is the same its ok. But if you're concerned about the refletor burning up then just go for Phillips blue vision bulb. Its 35w so you won't have reflector issues and its white light only at full capacity and yellow while idling. I am using the Phillips on my unicorn and it gives excellent beam spread+ its easy on the eyes for opposing traffic.
And just for your reference, 35w in the 35w/55w is for low beam idle and 55w is the upper limit for high beam full throttle. So even a 60w bulb will perform well, unless you only use it at full throttle on high beam all the time.Last edited by Balgi; 11-22-2014, 04:03 PM.

H4 bulbs can be fitted in H1S socket, but H1S can not be fitted on H4 sockets.

re: Bajaj Discover 125 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have absolutely no idea what Balgi is saying, as far as I know there is no 35w/55w bulb in H4 or HS1 configuration. The standard road legal ones are 35w/35w where both high and low beam has 35 watt filament and and the 55w/60w has 55watt in low beam and 60watt filament in high beam. 60/55w bulbs are not available in HS1 socket, only H4, but H4 fits in HS1 socket. The mid throttle/full throttle thing is confusing me, but if he is referring to the increase or decrease of the light intensity depending on the RPM one is in, it does not happen in a full DC bike like the Discover 125ST.I am back!

From what I understand, the best way to wire dual horns in the NS would be to make a harness with 3 connectors on one end(1 male for the stock horn ground and 2 female for the aftermarket horn grounds) and on the other end a single female connector for the terminal 85 of the relay. The other harness would be simple, 2 females on one end and on the other end just a single female connector. This would be the power cable.
Now I need to find out if spade connectors would fit the relay terminals, I have absolutely no idea where am I supposed to get those. Any help would be appreciated regarding sourcing of those connectors.
Oh! I almost forgot the shrink tubing, without which monsoon riding would not be fun and a 6 amps inline fuse too.I am back!

re: Bajaj Discover 125 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Update: I'm having bad experience with this oil. Just completed 1k since filling it but the engine still feels rough and the gear shift clunky. Not sure if there's some problem with the oil. Seriously considering to change to some other oil like Castrol power one. Do you guys have any other suggestions for 20w50 oil?
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
HI bro!! As far as my experience with this bike, the engine will be rough and doesnt like being run on mineral oil. It atleast needs semi synthetic I had changed to motul 3100(semi synthetic) just after my 3rd and last free service. After couple of oil changes, shifted to Motul 5100(semi synthetic with ester) and after that currently shifted to motul 7100(fully synthetic). With all these oils the engine was smooth enough and gear shifts were easy. Only small glitch what i faced was, when using Motul 5100(semi synthetic with ester) the engine emitted too much of heat even under normal driving conditions and more in city traffic condition. I was able to feel the heat on my legs when i am riding. This may be because of the ester technology which is generally used for higher cc high revving engine(i may be wrong). But, once i shifted to 7100(fully synth) these issues were gone.
With the current 7100 gear shifts are smooth and finding the neutral is also easy. when given proper idling at the start of the day even the (patented bajaj :P) jerkiness generally felt while engaging first gear is vanished.
My suggestion would be change the engine oil to some semi synthetic oil(may be 3100 semi synthe) and try out. After changing the oil dont expect to see difference instantly. It takes some time for the roughness and the heat issues to go. Dont forget to change your oil filter as well when you change the oil. And Motul oil is definitely anyday better than Bajaj oil.
Thanks for your informational post. I have poured in Castrol Power 1 20W50 oil, not sure if it's semi synthetic but the engine still feels like earlier, completed 200kms as of now. Need to check how it behaves after 500kms.

I can understand your feel bro. This bike does vibrates annoyingly, that you start to feel why i even selected. but, incrementally i have done some small things, which has improved the condition of the bike marginally to an extent that i can now ride till 70 with minimal vibration.Originally posted by md_minhaj View PostUpdate:

I will assist you what i can. How many km has the bike totally run?
BTW the castrol power 1 racing oil is a fully synthetic and a very good oil. I have used it for my cbz xteme and found it performing well.Last edited by emm; 12-08-2014, 06:16 PM.

Thanks for your help. You do exactly know how it feels. I'm really tired of it and contemplating to sell. But if I sell I would only get peanuts as there is no resale value of Bajaj bikes.
Btw it has completed around 16000kms since Nov 2012 and I believe it's not fully synthetic oil as it's not power one Racing oil.

re: Bajaj Discover 125 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Hi Guys,
How are you all ?. Seems like this thread is almost dead. Any updates? How\'s your discover 125 ST running and how\'s your experience so far?. Btw, have you seen the new Discover 150 variants, the bike is almost the same except the engine. What do you think about the new 150 bikes ?
Awaiting your valuable updates
.
Thanks,
Minhaj

re: Bajaj Discover 125 Owners Reviews and Experiences
From last 8-10 days my D125ST feels like it's running with a load on engine even fuel efficiency has reduced dramatically and engine gets very hot during city rides of just 10kms.
I tried resetting choke lever. But no change. I changed my engine oil too to Castro 4T. Still no changes. It vibrates soo much and only tops to 60km/h.
Never had such issue but this has made me puzzled. Bike has covered 16K kms.
Can it be because of dirt all over the bike(engine, below tank, chain section, etc)Its not the Bike that makes a Biker perfect, its a Biker who makes his Bike perfect :)

Dirt over engine can't be the reason. Though dirt on chain can contribute to vibrations and loss in performance it can't be this much. Did u check the clutch cable. May be the clutch is not disengaged properly, i may be wrong.. And BTW did u go to a mech.Originally posted by alliwanted View PostFrom last 8-10 days my D125ST feels like it's running with a load on engine even fuel efficiency has reduced dramatically and engine gets very hot during city rides of just 10kms.
