Lokesh027;1032577]I had already suggested you some oils. Read previous posts.
    Again
    Shell AX7 10w40
    Or
    Motul 10w40

What is difference between 10w40 and 20w50?
Can I use castrol gtx in my st?
I rode 14000 kms in my odo before I am pouring bajaj's dtsi 20w50 oil

If you want to change oil grade then change it only 1 level up but dont downgrade. If your oem grade is 20-50 then you should able to change 15-50/10-50.
10w is worked for you but 40 not good at all.
Try motul 15-50 mineral(which is using in new bullets)

Bro as i mentioned bullet UCE engine oem oil is motul 15-50. You ment to say nobady from your area driving bullets. If yes Go to any bullet mechanic ask him. If no then try castrol 20-50 semi/fully synthetic

For 125st 20w50 is the recommended grade which has been brought into notice by someone here.
            So avoid 20w40 and 10w40.
you can use any of these grades 20w50, 15w50, 10w50.
Here 10w50 are synthetics will be prove better winters. Available in Castrol and elf.

Motul 5100 15w50 is really good for bajaj bikes. If it is not available you can get yamalube semisynthetic from yamaha svc. Its worth for the price.

Lastly, 20w50 is economical. Its would be mineral oil which costs less. You can get this in castrol and elf.

But I guess it is the case for almost all new bikes. . This is not clear to me. Does the sound come while starting engine? If that is so then it could be an issue. Otherwise rest assured there is absolutely no problem. Ya now if you say that "takk" sound is way too loud as in you can feel it's vibration firmly in the bike's body, go get it checked. But I tell you that sound is a normal thing.

Guys a couple months back, I reported a problem here about terrible vibrations from engine. My mechanic could not fix it even when twice I handed my bike to him for correction. I was so frustrated I was thinking of selling off the damn thing. Then I came to know about another trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic. Gave the bike to him. He returned with a damaged air filter. Folds on the air filter were badly damaged and it was also clogged. He put a new air filter in for Rs.170. And now it's a miracle, vibrations are totally gone. Bike glides over the road till 60-65kph. Minor vibes creep till 75kph. Pickup has increased and gladly mileage is now @ 55-57kmpl and I ride pretty hard.
And for all those who had put in shell advanced oil and complaining about it. Guys I have poured in the same oil. Initially I thought it must be because of the oil but now as the main culprit is taken care of, I guess this oil is performing pretty well. So guys, check for other things, oil might be absolutely fine. For started get air filter, air fuel ratio checked.
                I am so happy now

You are right.. I think the main culprit was the air filter. I got it changed recently for Rs. 240 at bajaj svc during my bike's 5th servicing. However, the bike felt smooth just for about 20 days and now it's back to the same old situation. Doesn't feel smooth anymore. Not sure what's the problem. Actually I just came back from the svc and even those guys aren't able to make out what's wrong. :S

                Any insights?

Hey man, you couldn't be more correct. This exactly is my situation. I felt this astonishing buttery smoothness in the engine for a month. Now it's gone. Vibes are back although not as bad as they were before. However they are enough to sap the fun out of riding. Mileage has dipped hopelessly again, below 50. I am running out of my options and patience now. Don't know what more I should try. Plus this terrible news of 125ST might be discontinued. It means, if I am pushed by these problems to the brink of selling this bike, I will get get peanuts in the resale.
I am in bad mood for over a week. Repenting every day the decision of cancelling P135 and going for this one.

check wheel bearings, they may need greasing.
                    I am back!
