How many kms, has the scooter run and when was the last time the Air filter was replaced?
A choked up air filter might cause shut downs. the service centers have fixed kms after which they change the air filter, before that, they clean the filter with pressurized air and fit it back. But if you live in particularly dust place the life of the air filter will reduce significantly and you will have to replace it early. open it up and check its condition, then decide.

The next up would be air to fuel ratio, most of the time, if you complain that the scoot is not giving mileage, the service center guys make the ratio a bit lean to which might be the reason of engine shut down.

The most unlikely reason might be spark plug gone bad. It is highly unlikely, because the spark plugs fitted from factory are such good quality that they easily last 50 thousand kms without any problems, but if nothing works out, open the spark plug and check its condition, it might have gone bad, due to wrong air fuel mixture.

And last but not the least, make sure that you turn off the choke after warming up the engine, riding with choke on will give you same problem and will use more fuel.

        That's brand new brother.
So we can rule out the clogged up air filter, faulty spark plug and choke left on by mistake.
The only possible cause that I see is improper air to fuel ratio. Take it to the service center and let them know the problem, they will tune up the air in 2 mins and give it back to you. Since the scoot is practically brand new, they won't even charge you for it.

see if that solves the problem. If not let them know when you take it for the next service. I would advise you not to take it to a local mech yet, as they might mess it up even more.

The asc people tend to fiddle with the idle screw unnecessarily. The AF screw may get nudged because of that. It's 1 and 1/2- 3/4 quarter turn for jupiter. Open the box cover in the storage and do it if you are comfortable. Sometimes a minor turn in idle rpm is all that may be required.

              Hii guys,
I am thinking to swap speedometer unit of new Jupiter Grande to the the standard Jupiter.
The shape of new speedometer and old one is almost similar.
The only problem is that how odometer and speedometer works in digital unit as there is no speedometer cable in front wheel.

It won't probably won't. Speedo units usually cost 2-3k+ probably. Digital speedo that important to you?

Hi , again i faced the issue, i went to svc and they tuned the afr, but again today i faced the issue of scooter turning off while climbing down a speed breaker. I did engage choke in the morning for 1 minutes, and then idled it for 10 minutes even then the scooter turned off, my odo is 2600 kilometers only, the svc also adjusted the idle.

Bro, I'm running out of ideas on what might be wrong.

One last thing that you can do is, change the petrol pump. There might be a chance that the petrol is not of good quality.
Try filling up from a different station and see if that makes any difference. A new engine should not do that and you have checked everything else. So lets change the fuel for a few weeks and see if it resolves the random shutting down.

The plug looks fine in the pic bro. No soot, no white coating. The AFR is ok.
Also spark plugs last 30k kms on an average (50K if its iridium), so there was no need for replacing it on a new scoot.
As I said, please try filling petrol from a different station and see if that changes anything. I can't figure out any other problem in the vehicle.
Do keep us updated after trying out the new petrol pump.
                        Ride safe brother.

Spark plugs are meant to be replaced around the 10-12k mark. Check the afr yourself once. It should be 1 and 1/2-3/4 turn. If the asc cleaned the carb then fine. If not, recommend that.

Problem is that, after riding for about 1 kilometer, the problem vanishes ( engine becomes warm)

Hello guys has anyone fixed hazard light flasher to their bike? I am not getting a skilled mechanic to do it. also i want to make parking lights/ speedo lights on battery as i replaced them with LED and LED dont run well on AC

                                Dear Friends,

As my vehicle is nearing 3 years old i was thinking of doing some modifications on it, like adding hazard lights and making the front pilot lamps on battery etc. Searched many shops in chennai for modification and wiring changes, no mechanic knew or understood what i wanted. Then ultimately i had to take this task at hand and bought all necessary items from nearby electronic stores. Attached 2 cables to the indicator switch one cable to R indicator and one cable to L indicator and connected other ends of the wire to a switch. So whenever you turn on any indicator the indicator will blink and when you connect the switch the power also goes to other indicator and all 4 indicators start blinking. And when the hazard lights do blink the beeper goes silent which is very good thing. Though connections do seem easy but in reality it took me 2-3 trips to shops for consumables, 10-15 trips to home (up / down) for tools and around total 4 hours to get it finally set up:

Here is the video of it working and the switch is also small and fitted nicely.
Enjoy the videos and music that you love, upload original content and share it all with friends, family and the world on YouTube.

Another doubt i have friends, is the wheel alignment or handle alignment of TvS jupiter straight, recently it seems that due to air pressure or something while driving the handle is not straight, or if the road is straight in motorcycles you can leave the handle and it goes straight but now in my jupiter its not going straight, what could be the reason? I know its risky and i dont do such stunts but i had a doubt on the handle / tyre and tried it on plain empty road.
