    Finally 40K completed in Odo. Original Reading would be around 42K (Meter wasnt functioning for 2 months).
    Everything is fine, but I feel the rear suspension has lost its sheen. Might need a change. I am feeling the bumps more now, Making bad roads uncomfortable to ride on. Feels like the Activa's suspension now. Every day I ride around 40 kms, of which 20 kms would be extremely bad roads, which has taken a toll on the suspension. It will cost around 1000+ fitting charge to change the setup.

      I will be experimenting with Bando rollers of the Access 125, havnt checked the weight yet but was told that they are a tad bit heavier than the Jupiter's.

      Swapped out 3 rollers for the Access 125 rollers which are heavier. These had to be trimmed down to fit so must have lost 2grams at the least. The combination is 3 heavy rollers and 3 light rollers.

      Result:
      1. Lesser initial pick up
      2. Better high speed cruising (50-75kph)
      3. Smoother acceleration

      This is just an experiment, the stock roller will be put back on so as to not damage the variator. Once i know that there isnt any complication i may swap all 6 rollers for another test.

              is engine decarbonising approved by tvs. the asc is telling since my tvs jupiter has done 25000 kms carbon has built up in engine and needs to be decarbonised by giving to 3party lathe. i have tweeted to TvS jupiter about it. I am single owner and always drive very carefully, the asc dhiraa tvs ashoknagar, chennnai is telling that when accelerator is raised black smoke is coming and decarbonisiing will cost approx 2500 rs, but i really doubt that guy. Since i changed address i the regular dealer sathya tvs , tambaram is far for me but seems its worth going the extra km and give it to my regular dealer and get his opinion.

              Seems these asc are really cheating customers and making huge money once free service period is over. Or are brands really making the two wheelers so low quality?

                Hi , i have 2018 Jupiter, when i go over bad roads some loose material type sound cones fron the front section of it, I've inspected from outside but nothing is loose ,still sound is coming, what could be the issue.

                  Today my wife and me went to check all the Gearless scooters. We check out the Activa 5G, Activa 125, Aviator, Dio & Grazia from Honda, Access & Burgman from Suzuki, SXL 150 and SR150 from Vespa/Aprilla, Jupiter & NTorq from TVS. We didn't check out the scooters from Hero and Yamaha. She liked the Activa 5G, Dio & Jupiter though she said the Jupiter was perfect. I had guessed that the Access and Jupiter would be the best. I actually preferred the Access. My wife liked the Jupiter Classic. I would have loved the Standard but with a Disk Brake. Just hated the beige plastics on the Classic, Grande and ZX.

                    True, SVC is just trying to rip-off extra money from you, there is no issue with vehicle itself, for a modern day 4-stroke engine you don't need de-carbonizing until 50K+ kms, just ignore them and fully deny their unwanted things they mention and just tell them you'll get it done next time and move on.

                    Just get things done from SVC only if its really required and you are having some real issue.

                    I was in the situation back 2016 when looking for a scooter for my Dad,

                    Honda products were ruled out as they had not seen update since ages felt outdated and were missing so many features compared to Jupiter, Access like bigger 12inch tyres, telescopic forks, blacked out wheels, hooks, pass switch, bigger storage space, external fuel filler, LED tail lights etc etc. Grazzia, Ntorq, Burgman was not launched back then

                    Aprilla and Vespa were ruled out due to limited showroom and service centers and due funky looks and low mileage from the 150/125cc engines and yes expensive.

                    Hero, Yamaha never bothered to look at them.

                    So between Access and Jupiter went with Jupiter as we felt Access engine was very harsh and loud and not refined and jerky, where as Jupiter ticked every single box, smooth engine and pick up, good fuel efficiency, good leg room and arms don't bend like in Activa also you sit high and upright which gives less back and neck pain.

                    Overall we are happy with Jupiter which has clocked approx 15000kms as of now. Yes, I also completely hated the Beige plastics back then, have a go at the Standard model you will not be disappointed or wait few more months till they add the Grande LED headlights and digital speedo to the Standard models.

                      No, You dont need decarbonizing before 50K kms. Did you check, if black smoke is really emitting?

                        Writing this post as a disappointment over TVS for making unreliable and pathetically built Jupiter. The horrible ownership experience continued with two Jupiters that have been purchased so far within last 2 years.
                        Both the scoots were purchased by my GF (now fiance). Highlighting ownership experiences and issues that i can remember in last 2 Years.

                        1. 2016 TVS Jupiter - standard drum equipped - Always serviced as per schedule

                        Up(down)grading from a Mahindra rodeo. While under powered and lacked features, Jupiter offered excellent stability and comfort. Nightmare started after just 1 month of purchase. It used to randomly stall when slowing down and refused to start for 3-4 seconds. This was outright dangerous sometimes. Also caused embarrassment numerous times. Stalling issue was so severe that it used to stall 6-7 times during her 5KM commute to our college. Apart from this stalling issue, It also proved to be unreliable, Leaving her stranded three times in last 2 years, Everytime this happened, It refused to start, no cranking or any kind of light was operating. First time, the issue was found to be a blown fuse (No electrical modifications on the vehicle), while other two times, it started automatically after being towed back home by her. Battery terminals were checked after first and second occurance of this issue but it occurred again after a couple of months. Did i mention it used to stall all the times and refused to start for 3-4 seconds? I myself got fedup and got the idle rpm increased and stalling issue reduced by 50%. Did i also mention that it returned a pathetic average of 30kpl despite being ridden sanely between 30-45kmph. As if this wasn't enough, at around 9000KMs on the odo and 1.5 years since it was purchased. The scoot started vibrating terribly when accelerated from standstill. Gave it to the service center and clutch assembly, bell etc were replaced. Damages? 6k because these apparently are wear and tear items. Mechanical failure at just 9000KMs and constant issue of stalling was making ownership miserable. That combined with non existent front brake bite was ensuring a very bitter ownership experience. We were convinced that we have got a lemon considering my friend's wego was doing just fine even after 9 Years. 3 months ago. When it was at around 14,000KMs on odo, same issue of vibrations when accelerating cropped up again and this was it. Decided to ditch it for good and get a new scoot. (Its still being used occasionally by her father)

                        Lets write down issues that cropped up during ownership
                        1. Stalling issues
                        2. Reliability issues - leaving owner stranded 3 times
                        3. Clutch or transmission issue twice
                        4. other minor issues like poor brakes, key not opening fuel lid etc.



                        2. 2018 TVS Jupiter classic disc just 700KMs as on now.

                        Gave TVS another chance, and bought a classic disc variant. Initial impression was good. Front disc offers nice bite but those circular classic mirrors offer very poor visibility and are difficult to adjust. Nothing serious though. We were convinced that our old scoot was a lemon and this ownership is not going to be a nightmare the old one's was. We were wrong. On a fine day just 5 days old jupiter refused to start. It was dragged back to home. Apparently fuse was somehow managed to get out of its socket. Installed it back in and it started fine. At 300 KMs on odo, self starter died. No self start in a brand new 15 days old jupiter. after being ridden with just kick starter for next 400KMs. It was given for a service and they said starter was jammed. Right now it is back from service center and working fine since last 3 days. (around 750KMs as of now).


                        Lets write down issues that cropped up during ownership
                        1. Poor QA? Scoot refused to start one fine day as fuse was out of its socket.
                        2. Starter motor jammed within 300KMs

                        How come both of her jupiters suffered such failures? Both were serviced as per recommendation and ridden sanely. Such issues do not seem to be limited to Jupiter. A close friend's brand new Apache RR310 came with faulty gear indicator and a plastic part near radiator broke within 400KMs of ownership. These experiences made me question about reliability of TVS vehicles.

                          I think you've got lemon twice. Jupiter is one of the most reliable scooters, my friend clocked 45k without any problems, mine jupiter has clocked 1500 kilometers till now no problems.

                            It comes with standard 2 years warrant and 3 years extended purchased for Rs.300-500

                            Agree on RR310 quality though, rushed production and bad QC due to delayed deliveries, within 2K kms even I came across one which had it's entire timing chain gone with all timings were off and it was misfiring.

                              Doesn't that mean number of lemons coming out of TVS factory is very high? Jupiter was the best scooter in market when we were out looking for one. But there is a big question whether i will buy anything from TVS again.

                              All issues i have mentioned above (stalling, electrical system issues, poor brakes etc.) were complained to Service advisor at every service. They failed to rectify it (i really wonder whether they even bothered to check it at all. Seem like all they do is wash and change oil of the vehicle).Clutch/transmission issue was charged on us as they said its a wear and tear item. Warranty cannot be claimed.

                                Yup, totally doubt on this, they might have just kept billing for parts and spares which they never changed, even do check from your side if they bother to change the oil or simply top it up with old re-cycled oil, this is an ongoing scam from many years.

                                (Back then in 2010, Bajaj SVC kept filling 1.5L oil to my bike where the capacity was only 1.1L, piston ring blew-up, they never accepted their mistake, I had to spend 10K for a brand new piston kit)

                                Might be 50% are chances are you ended up with a bad service center which never did a full proper service in the first place, due to which both scooters are giving so much problems at such low kms.

                                And another 50% could be really TVS quality issues as they have shifted their focus on Ntorq 125, earlier they had only one flagship scooter to focus on, since they already know Jupiter is a success and not concentrating much as it will anyway sell.
