I am planning to buy ZMR, but the looks (in picture) are not that much appealing. Since you said its much better looking than in pictures, i will check out the showroom.

As far my needs are concerened - am not much of a tourer or a racing type of guy. Will do both occasionally. My previous bike is HH Hunk. Been riding it for 5 years now-a great companion. Now i wanna upgrade to something a bit more reliable and powerful.
Comfort, power and mileage are my top priorities.

Is this bike an ideal choice for me. By the way am 6.1 feet tall. Please give me valuable inputs.. thank you
If you have a liking for karizma, better wait
They may launch refreshed versions by this year end and later hx in 2016. According to few sources.
Although, i don't know if it is a good move by hero

What is your budget? I dont think going for a ZMR or a Karizma at this point of time is suggested. They are going to update these bikes wiyh different body. So either you wait for the update or go for an alternate.. P200NS or thr P200AS are good bikes as well..

Oh yeah i remember you telling me! I thought he had the v1's part deliberately put in as the v2's were having a design issue!

But since it's audible soon after the part change I don't think my problem is not just due to cam-shaft or piston. There are other things which they are not able to diagnose

Recently you all must be aware that almost all Hero bikes had parts scarcity, so with greater number of complaints Hero decided to change the vendors and also has also decided to change the procurement rate of spares so that vendors are not pushed for margins.

We recent re calling of parts tender and such, finally hero has sorted much of problem.

Expect the new prices to have increased quite a lot but rest assured quality has also gone better.

The new prices that i am seeing has increased and so also some vendors. Now the vendors name will not be displayed. Only Hero name will be displayed.

Change the camshaft under warranty and use only the new camshaft. The new camshaft has problem sorted as per complaints faced by company.

Be sure to change the rocker arms as well.
Yes bro we went and had a look at the engine. Both parts are clearly worn off. The showroom guys had booked a VOR to the company about two days back. Am sceptical about the parts now. Whether we will recieve the stock which the previous vendor made, or that of the new one.

Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)

Ever since Honda and Hero Parted ways, total indigenisation of components started. with the cut off date , and EBR association, high lift cam and domed pistons with deeper valve relief were used for increase in power in both ZMA and ZMR. The problems then started due to poor design and Poorer component quality...
Here after most components for ZMA and ZMR will be Local make and expect poorer reliability, if one is unfortunate enough to use it....Hope Hero improves the quality of the components.

With almost every ZMR v2 having this problem, I feel this is rather an issue of bad engineering/design and not just a manufacturing defect.
