Re: Hero Karizma ZMR (2014 version)

Update on my friend's zmr. There was a sound resembling tappet noise coming from the engine as i had told it here last time. Its been more than a couple of months now i guess.
Well, right now, he has changed the svc and started servicing it in a newer and much better centre. There, the mechanic had told that the sound is not of the tappet but is coming from inside the engine chamber, near the cylinder. Upon opening, the mech has found the cam shaft to be completely worn off, resulting in the sound. They have agreed to replace the same under warranty.
I remember a discussion here where it was said that newer models have this problem and it can be corrected by using a part from the older zmr engine. I am a bit confused on that part and would like to get it clarified..

Thanks @Divya I wish I had known it when I still had my beloved Karizma... I will include cleaning in my monthly schedule and lubing in weekly schedule.

@ashwinprakas I will include cleaning due to the guilt feeling I have on not treating my Karizma well in the past...

Spray and immediately move means no trace of lubing left within 10 min!

In that case, I always did it the wrong way.
