I own a 2017 model fz fi and and had sticker on the fibre part which is covering the tail lamp(brake light). I used a steel scrubber to remove it and resulted scratches.
Is there anyway how I can repaint it?
    Or recover it

I am hearing 1st time from you that A pulsar clocked 90k kms with the stock chain and 70k kms with stock rear sprocket. An FZ-S requires a chain sprocket replacement at 16k if maintained with kerosene & gear oil EP90 (desi cheap solution) and 18-20k max if maintained with Motul kits. If you are buying motul chain spray & lube for 1000/- plus brush worth 200/-, totally 1200/- to lubricate chain to last around 20k kms. Then why not buy a whole new sprocket set worth 1595/- (1020/- chain + 350/- rear + 125/- front sprocket ).
Service center guys always try to extra-tighten the chain which will cause you to replace chain at only 10k.
Do not blindly throw bikes to service centers to maintain everything. Do learn some DIY brother..

Knowledgeable members dont seem to answering on this thread anymore.. disappointing

I am Posting this in case it of help to any one else:

As per my last post I was surprised since my FZ required a Chain and sprocket change at just 12K
My Pulsar had easily lasted 90 k when i sold it without changing the chain. I had changed the sprocket though
I now know why my FZ chain flunked
The Stock Chain required tightening every 500 Kms and it would slacken
In fact I had bought a wheel spanner so that I could do this at home apart from doing it on every service
I was hoping to get some answers here but at that time got waste answers. (See Above)

Now I have the answer and am sharing with you so that you can act accordingly.

At around 13K I Changed my Chain and Sprocket; for around RS 2000 at the Yam service centre.
The new Chain and Sprocket were of a different make "REVLON".

Now I am at 20 K on the Odo and I have not had to tighten the chain even once !! during serving they may have done once!!!

However the drastic change in chain performance clearly shows that the OEM that Yam gave was utter cheap crap.

What I have paid for now is of way better quality.

Did not expect Yamaha to cheat its customers.

Replaced mine after 26k kms. Had the very same issue - tightening every now and then.

After replacement I am back from a long trip and have covered 4000 kms and i must say no need of tightening.

I would say .. Yamaha heard our complaints and acted. I am happy the problem is now rectified.

The new lot of chains are fully sealed chain (comes sealed from company) and once needs to remove rear foot peg stay to install it without breaking it.

                    GOOD WORK YAMAHA.

Guys please help me, my bike is raising its rpm itself sometimes without throttle. (Like when i stop in signal after leaving the throttle the rpm still raises). Is this a signal that the fi is clogged or is it having any fault?

As far as I know it could be due to bad clutch plates.

                              Hello all,

My bike odo is 34k kms. Today I just noticed that there is small small holes at the front side of the silencer Exhaust pipe under belly to the front side of engine.
I am really worried about those holes and i can feel the exhaust gas coming from that. I guess those holes are due to mud but is there any way to rectify the holes? or I have to change the silencer pipe? How much it costs then?
Is any one using an engine gurad to protect from mud? how to get that ?
PLease let me know if anyone facing the problem and has the solution.

After 10k kms and 3 years the left turn indicator in the rear died on me today. I am thinking of now replacing all the turn indicators with those sleek led ones. I remember someone installing the same on their FZs in this forum. Can't find it now. Can anyone help me out?
                                Any pointers on installation
