Mate, surprisingly there is no chain slapping issue(both my Dukes had it) present on my RC, Its been 600kms till now and nothing. The Dukes had it from day one. Even the Demo RC with the dealer is free from this issue, guess Bajaj worked on it.

Well no. See I am a duke owner. But my friend has his already. I can't give the details since we have a setup with the showroom and I would not want to jeopardize that. I'm just gonna tell you that I got spot delivery of my duke the day I entered the showroom.
The new Rc's come with a piece of thin rubber already attached to the swing arm. At least such is the case with my friend's bike.

Blade went for a long drive today and was happy enough to strike pose in front of the lens!! Following are some of the pics. Will post the observation by evening.

Following are the observations from the ride:

            1. RVMs are really stable at high speeds. I maintained 100+ and had no problem spotting the vehicles behind me. As usual, right one is spot on while left one is useless. Planning to go to showroom in coming week to try and fix that.

            2. Brakes are progressive and have loads of stopping force. However, front seems to lack the initial bite and comes into serious action only when pulled all the way. On the way there were openings on highway and speed humps before them. Braking hard here resulted in two observable incidents. Once, I braked hard using rear (I use front primarily but panicked a bit and pressed hard on rear) and there was a single khat like sound (was it ABS in action?). Second, again on a bit hard braking, I heard a short fizz sound when I released the front brakes. I slowed to check all the vitals and everything seemed alright. Not sure if this is again ABS in action.

            3. Is it me or the rear suspension is soft? Blade goes around bouncing all over the place at 100+ kmph on roads which have undulations. On good roads though, things are rock stable. I, by the way weigh 65 kg and rode solo.

Rest of the ride was great. Blade likes warping the space when let loose!!

              Your post confuses me..
Details of what sir'ji The RC deliveries have officially started in Hyderabad.
And yeh duke's (200 and 390) are available for spot delivery.. i got mine the same way.
What do you mean rubber attached on the swing arm ? Is that something extra apart from the chain slider which is present (on all 200's and 390's)towards the front portion of the swingarm ?
              A pic would help!

It should be the chain slider he is talking about.

I didn't know the bikes were available now. You can't fault me for that, my friend got his RC a couple days over week ago back then it was not so readily available. I don't go to the showroom everyday or I would have known.

As for the arrangement, my group alone has bought 3dukes, 1 RC, and 2 ninja 650's from the same showroom. I brought them a lot of business so they give us higher preference.

As for the rubber piece. I checked in the evening today again to confirm. On the bottom side of the swing arm on the chain side there is a little piece of rubber stuck over the plastic chain guide or slide, its thin and not easy to spot (little plastic piece on bottom side of swing arm).

In any case its good to hear the bikes are available on the spot in Hyderabad. The situation in Bangalore it seems has gotten worse with no deliveries and no RTO approval.

So you say the chain slider has an extra bit of rubber over it on the underside.. hmm a pic would have helped. Anyway let me take a look at my d200 and see if i can spot something. Maybe newer lots have it, or is it just the rc's ?

Only 200's and 390's are available on spot.. not the RC's! I only have info about the banjara ktm.. they have received around 10 RC's for october and nothing more.. looks like bajaj has 'rationed' the rc's in limited quantities for oct due to the demand and festive season & deliveries started a day before diwali. According to their manager more rc's would flow in from november onwards.

A picture of the newly added rubber part would help. Please if possible someone post one so that the duke owners can make use of it as well.

Yeah the rubber piece I saw only on my friend's RC. Not that I checked any other bikes.
And I was talking about getting RC spot delivery not dukes. Dukes have been spot delivered for a while now. Cheers

Let the deliveries settle down. You can then get spot delivery. They have to cater to early bookings now.

There's one odd piece that comes that way from the factory. So much so that you can call it bad luck. But its rectifiable and quite easily too.
In fact on my duke all systems work perfectly save the horn. No matter what I do it seems the stock horn just doesn't want to work!!
I am going to replace the whole setup shortly and hope for the best.
Honestly I have never heard about this happening on any other duke.
