Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Tried a little cornering today
but while going to the 3rd mark the back suddenly started wobbling and I lowered by speed and came back up
any idea what could have caused this
my speed wasn't low nor did I accelerate or decelerate in the corner
there was a lil wet patch in the middle but I doubt they would effect the metzellers

I always use viaterra fly. hold nicely and no issues with storage.Originally posted by ynike99 View PostIs anyone using any tank bag on rc? And how well does it hold? Asking specifically for the rynox optimus t, but any other inputs are welcome too.
Just have to loosen two straps for filling petrol.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hi Zaid,
It's normal for all the RC's to wobble a but while cornering. We have somewhere around 5-6 RC in my riding group and we all felt the same way today morning ride, the tail wobbles a but while cornering.. The wobble was not there when the bikes were new, we tried to know the reason may be old tires, tyre pressure, chain loosen etc.. But eventually didn't find a solid reason for that. It's normal so chill [emoji106]

Thanks a lot for your reply, I really appreciate it
So is there anyways I could do a corner on this bike,
cause I have been doing knee down and elbow down my my R6 without any problem
but this got me a little frighten.
I guess I will try slowly and slowly doing down a little on each try cause I feel that's the only way.
Thanks Again

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
So I saw someone say the front breaks squeak a lot. Yes they do squeak if there is a lot of dirt on the discs.
I tried using a 3M disc cleaning spray but it was of no use.
I bought a 3M shampoo and a sponge and cleaned the discs for a solid 20 mins. The sound disappeared for about 10 days. It has started again and I'm sure cleaning it again will do it.
I park it everyday for about 7h in a playground so its bound to get dirty.
P.s- Many of you may know this already but just thought I'll share my experience.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
I had the front disc rotor replaced under warranty due to very bad squealing noises on my D200. And i don't think using the 3m shampoo is a good idea, because i think it might have some wax in its formulation, and it would be bad for the disc.Originally posted by thrustrev View PostSo I saw someone say the front breaks squeak a lot. Instead i'd recommend you first take the pads out and rub them on some sandpaper. and then for everyday cleaning, just hose off the disc with water and use a tiny drop of vim/pril dish wash liquid instead of shampoo or get a bottle of acetone and dab it on a cloth and wipe off the rotor.

either your body positioning is not right ...probable cause
2. you are trying corneing not on good roads
3. your suspension set up could with with some tweek (whats your body weight)
personally i have got rc's all the way down to the tyre walls on so many occassions and have never felt a a better chasis. there is not wobble or anything.
cheers...

I not sure about the elbow Dow that would be way too much for me, but in the normal knee down corner it wobbles around the starting of the corner that may be due to the softer settings of the suspension. I'll try to adjust my suspension to the hard setting and will get back to you on next Sunday afternoon [emoji106] you can too try that and let me know the feedback.
