Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Just change the pads. New ones are improved. My 2016 rc has already completed around 7k and the brakes did not make any sounds yet.Originally posted by holy View PostHey! Friends ... how to get rid of the screeching sound from the front brake ??? The svc guys just open it and rub the brake pads but it appears again from the next day . It's just irritating . The reason is dust particles but any permanent solution to it ??

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
I second that. I have october 2014 RC390 and was really pissed with the brake's sound since the inception. But now no sound at all and even the brake's bite is better.Originally posted by Mail2vasant View PostJust change the pads. New ones are improved. Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
you will probably have to replace the rotor. i've had the rotor replaced under warranty due to a squealing (not screeching) noise every time the front brake was used. no amount of cleaning fixed it. this used to happen when the brake rotor was warm after using the brakes a few times but never when cold.. i.e. first couple of km.Originally posted by holy View PostHey! one more thing that you could try is to use a fine grit sandpaper and lightly scrub the rotor also.. do wet sanding i.e. keep wetting the sandpaper or pour water on the rotor as you gently scrub it. and scrub it at a 45 degree angle outward and not in a circular motion.
if this doesn't fix it, then force them to replace the rotor under warranty. they will by default try to avoid warranty replacement but you have to be firm and its always better you keep a written complaint and comment on the job card every-time highlighting any issues you face.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Thank you for the update. Sorry bro my screen was too small at that time so I had to increase the size so that I could read what I have typed. Did not expect it to be this big.

The mirrors are good, they do provide better visiblity compared to the old ones.Originally posted by cool20bud View PostShare more pics buddy...and what is your review on those new rear view mirrors after the ride?
They feel a bit cheap and look like crap but they are usable unlike the old ones where all you could see was your arms.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Pilot street is good. The tyre sure packs a lot of life for an intermediate compound also I've made some good knee down leans on these I didn't feel much slips. They are claimed to be best wet weather tyres but there was an incident where I slipped off on a heavy water slide. Probably cause the road lacked grip and my tyres weren't warm enough and the puddle was a bit long. The bigger groves do repel a lot of water and are okayish in dry conditions but not as good as the Metz. A co rider put them on his Yamaha r15 dude has ran a good 29k on it and tyre still has life in it for a good 5k more. Also I looked up the Diablo rosso 2 on a local dealer here. They quoted 3.2k for the front tyre. I was a bit taken back. But I checked the tyre and saw it was manufactured on 2012. I'm asking around if that would affect the tyre performance in any way.Originally posted by thrustrev View PostHow is the Michelin Pilot Street radial? My rear Metzeler is wearing out, I've done about 12.5K. I've heard a few people say the Michelin slips even with a small lean. Is this true?
Metzelers are not for me, I don't do any track days, just commutes and weekend rides.
Pirelli Diablo Rosso II(Rs 7200) and Michelin Pilot Street Radial(Rs. 5600) are my options.
I'm not sure if the Pirellis are worth the extra 1600. Can someone please recommend a tire?
Thank You.
