How much would these charges usually be or can I just ask them to waive it off completely ?

Also there was no mention of handling charges or RTO charges, will they charge this separately from us ?

This is the quote I got from KTM Askok Pillar.

You have the right to know what these fittings are. PDI is done for free and every svc has got info that mirror fitting+saree guard fitting cannot extract more charges(still some does it). Then I dont have absolutely any idea bout this. Ask them to be specific.

The price quote I got from them is as below

        Ex- Showroom - 2,17,316 Rs
        Life Tax - 20,736 Rs
        Insurance Comprehensive - 6,238 Rs
Incidental Fitment Charge - 3,500 Rs
        Must Fittings - 2,000 Rs
        ----------------
        2,49,790 Rs

Is the price ok or have they added some unwanted charges here ?

Also when I asked them if they had a test ride bike, they told they didn't get the approval yet but they said they did have a new bike which I could test ride. I asked them if it was a customers bike and he said NO it was not and it can be taken for the test ride. I felt something wrong here and feel they were just giving me a customers bike for the test ride so I point blank refused to take it and asked them to contact me once their test ride bike arrives.
If i were you, I'd look for another showroom instead. In my experience, these showrooms which indulge in acts like these aren't going to stop at charging you extra, and when it comes to buying a bike, i would much rather travel extra or wait longer but be assured of a good sales experience. At the very least visit another showroom to consider your options, because in future when you want to give bike for service, it'll be a pain dealing with an SVC thats always trying to cut corners and make money.
PS Bikewale is quite accurate, and shows 2.41 on road in chennai - KTM RC390 Price in India, Review, Mileage & Photos - Bikewale

Thanks a lot Krish. Now I know I do not have to pay for those. They're just trying to make a quick buck out of an unsuspecting customer.

It's clearly unwanted charges.I will ask them to waive it off or write to KTM if they don't.

Yes you're right, it's a new showroom so I guess they will try anything to make a quick buck. I will look for other options as I can try Trivandrum side too since it's nearby.

Did anyone try techspec snakeskin on the RC? I am looking for tank grips and read online that stomp grips are too aggressive and that they eat through the pants

In 2015 I was able to get hold of people who make custom Sprockets in India and in USA.

USA deal : The shipping kills the deal completely.
Else they were cool, They can even customize it to your name or design.

India deal : A 47Teeth Sprocket will cost you around 5000-6000 rs.
And that's where I had to drop the idea.
Since you are from Bangalore. Try finding stunt riders / stunt bike modifiers. They can provide you a big sprocket.

Bike had recently undergone repairs. Right handlebar was changed. Everything seems normal while riding. But right handlebar still touching the tank. No pain in hand/wrist while riding. What could be wrong?

I removed the side Fairings to clean the insides of the bike, noticed the air filter box is cracked. The last time I checked was about 2 months ago and it was fine. I've done about 200 km after that. Now I called up the service centers and no stock anywhere, I was told it would take about 2 weeks once I order. Is it okay to ride till then? I'd probably clock around 150-200 km. It's been raining here almost everyday. Anything I shouldn't be doing?
                        Thank You.

Is it a small crack or a big one? Is it being claimed under warranty? Is there any change in exhuast sound due to the crack? I think you are good to go if the crack is small. What you need to ensure is that the crack should not let more air pass through the filter. Tape it up a bit for the time being.

Did anyone ever felt the need to change engine oil before service period, i.e., 8000 km ?

                              Hello everyone.
I am thinking to change the brake pads to the Brembo SC (http://www.ktmperformance.com/brembo...-390-duke.html)
So, I had a question. Will changing 'only' the brake pads, improve my braking power? Or I'll need to change the disc rotors too? As for now, I only have budget for changing the pads. So just wanted to know whether the braking power will increase or not?
                              Thanking you

You change oil at 8000 km interval?
I dont think engine oil will last that long, I usually change after every 2500 - 3000 kms.
