stay away from a 4 yr old tire. the rubber wears even though its not used, it gets hard and could form cracks in just a couple of 1000 km.Originally posted by rondy_610 View Post

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hey guys, I needed a little bit of help regarding a traffic matter. My parents are currently out of town, and I am not aware of the process so would appreciate some help. Today an auto, registration number KA 05 AF 532, the driver first came and suddenly hit my bike from behind (I was driving perfectly sanely, around 40 in minimal traffic), after which he tried to run away (rear bumper is bent). When i followed him and got to his right side, he tried to hit me with his auto by suddenly swerving towards the right; luckily I braked in time. After that, he stopped me in the middle of the road and tried to take my keys out of the bike, and attempted to slap and hit me. At the moment, not having my phone with me, I just made a point to get out of there. Since I haven't done this before, could someone guide me in what I can do now? I am really keen to file a police complaint, so could someone provide some prompt guidance?
Would really appreciate it, thanks!

I would suggest to procced to police complaint only if you can take up the matter till end and can take pain during whole process.Originally posted by AngadV View PostHey guys, I needed a little bit of help regarding a traffic matter. Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hi Angad I faced a similar situation.
A koc on a pulsar 220 MH 12 MG 5988, seemed to be too busy talking on the phone , all of a sudden he kind of stops in front of me and ram into him. The best part was he just continued driving . my mom was sitting pillion and I was pissed off by his behaviour so I stop him , and he's like tuhare baap ka rasta he kya meri marji.
My mom tried to call cops but he ran away. Then went police station cos ego was hurt . Cop wrote details and said thek hai hum jo kar sakte karenge( we will try what we can) I just left because cops showed no concern. Tried to get details from VAHAN , the bike was registered in the name Sohail Amjad Khan.
You cant do much . All this happened in M.G. road Pune.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Guy's, was finally planning to take the plunge to get the 2016 RC390 but I feel very fishy about the dealer here.
The price quote I got from them is as below
Ex- Showroom - 2,17,316 Rs
Life Tax - 20,736 Rs
Insurance Comprehensive - 6,238 Rs
Incidental Fitment Charge - 3,500 Rs
Must Fittings - 2,000 Rs
----------------
2,49,790 Rs
Is the price ok or have they added some unwanted charges here ?
Also when I asked them if they had a test ride bike, they told they didn't get the approval yet but they said they did have a new bike which I could test ride. I asked them if it was a customers bike and he said NO it was not and it can be taken for the test ride. I felt something wrong here and feel they were just giving me a customers bike for the test ride so I point blank refused to take it and asked them to contact me once their test ride bike arrives.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Sirji I apologize in advance for my crudeness, but taking your phone out in the middle of a physical discussion is not recommended. Legal remedies take time, patience and money. If you do not possess the above qualifications, next time try to send a message physically.Originally posted by AngadV View PostHey guys, I needed a little bit of help regarding a traffic matter. My friends dad who got involved with an auto had little hope of getting money from the driver. So he decided to educate the fellow on proper road etiquette by pushing the auto upside down.
I'm sure Xbhp does not promote violence, but sometimes, if electric start doesn't work you have to use kick start.[emoji6]

Thanks Krish.Originally posted by Krish1996 View PostThey have added some unwanted charges like incidental fitment and must fitting.
How much would these charges usually be or can I just ask them to waive it off completely ?
Also there was no mention of handling charges or RTO charges, will they charge this separately from us ?

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Instead of handling charges, they using names like must fittings and Full PDI etc since most of users are aware that handling charge is illegal. I dont know what is the must fitting they are charging here. The only thing they should fit after the bike comes from factory are mirrors, and it needs 5 minutes. Send a mail to ktm asking what are the must fittings that they are charging for.Originally posted by Stani Emerson John View PostThanks Krish.
