Can someone help me with the cost of RC390's projector kit?All men dream, but not equally. Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act upon their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - T. 5800 Rupees was when I last given information and if my memory serves me right. With GST, the prices could have been revised.Originally posted by kirosh_03 View PostCan someone help me with the cost of RC390's projector kit?

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Hi Everybody,
I got a quick set of questions -
1)Where in Delhi NCR is a good shop to do mods? Like installing exhaust Slip-ons etc. I mean ones who do it well like professionals.
2) Wat are the good options for slipons? Leovince has good ones but one I like is not street legal. Akra is good brand but those look big IMO. I like the SC project exhaust but looks like they don't have one yet for rc390.
3)Where is a decent place to get decals(custom) and for brands(B'stone, WP etc.) in Delhi NCR? Also any online sites for the same?
4) I have a 2016 RC 390. I am really let down with the bite of the brakes and am heavy/late braker. What options do I have? 320mm disc from 2017 model was ruled out by Noida sec-2 SVC. But I see the RC cup bike has 320mm and also Galfer makes 320mm disc available. WOuld installing a bigger disc require other mods?
Oh and BTW I have ordered an ergo seat from US of A. The indian roads and the stiff seat and suspension was basically my butt getting KO'd.
Thanks!

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
On brakes, try the new sintered brake pads that come standard with 2017 ktms. I am using the EBC 606hh. I brake late too and the EBC brake pads are a revelation. If you need even better braking, galfer's rotors are the only option. You can also swap out the master cylinder if you want. Details on this thread.Originally posted by Rattletop View PostHi Everybody,

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Getting weird response from handle as if something like dragging. Tyre pressure is all good. Not drastically but slight weird response while changing lane, has anyone faced this type of issue before ? Is there will be a problem with cone ? Bike has done 12.5 kms

Check the level of the forks, are they both on the same height, if you dropped your bike they could have moved and will need to be aligned properly.Originally posted by SubhashGowda07 View PostGetting weird response from handle as if something like dragging. The second possibility is that you have the incorrect amount of oil in the fork.

Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
Just as an add on, also check your T stem slack, adjust, tighten or loosen accordingly. Both a loose and tight T stem means sloppy slow speed and high speed handling.Originally posted by SubhashGowda07 View PostGetting weird response from handle as if something like dragging. Re: KTM RC 390 Ownership Experience
I own a 2017 August model RC390. The ODO has clocked around 1800Kms and first service has been completed at 1050Kms. I am facing the below mentioned issues/niggles.
- Can EMS Failure - Has occurred 3 times; one time before the first service and two times recently yesterday. I have reported the same during the first service and the engineer told they have used the diagnostic tool to clear out the error message and assured it wont come there after. But i am worried since it came twice in the last 2 days. Any one facing the same issue? Is this a serious issue to worry a lot or can we ignore it
. The error code occurred when the Kill switch is turned off and then turned on when standing in signals. With the error code the engine wont crank, i need to switch off the vehicle using key and switch it on again to get rid of the error code. Can't able to find the exact pattern when/why it happens.
- Gear engaging knock sound - This is the thing i hate the most
and it occurs from the day 1 of delivery. Not sure if this is because of the slipper clutch
, but the sound feels like something from the engine is going kaput. Its not happening on each and every gear that i shift but it surprises me enough to have a look down at engine to see if anything was wrong
. Reported during the first service and the SVC guy told its fine till the ODO crosses 5000Kms as its a high revving engine. But just need to confirm with you guru's if its true.
- Gear indicator showing - (Dash) in the combination instrument - This is happening when downshifting from 1st or 2nd gear. I am least bothered about this issue as its not a big deal breaker(Since my old bike FZs 2013 model doesn't have a gear indicator
). But just want to confirm if i need to take it seriously?
- Oil leak near gear lever - Attaching the pics. This was after the first service. After noticing it i have thoroughly cleaned the area. Found it last week only and seems kind of OK as there was not much of oil evidence after cleaning. But will keep an eye on this as i have clocked less than 100kms after cleaning it. Any idea to confirm if this is a leak or just oil spill post the oil change during first service? Due to the underbelly pan in place cant able to see it clearly

Apart from the above, the bike is a bliss to ride and always make you to have a
on your face. Using it for office commute(40Kms up and down) and occasional tour's. Have did a 700kms and 350kms trip on this and boy oh boy its so comfortable to cruise in the highways
. I am very much satisfied with my RC!!!.
I have went through around 300 posts on this thread(Latest to oldest) and still going. Such a wonderful place to get tons of information learn from you guys. Thank you xBhpian's.
As this is my first post, Please apologise me if i have posted anything wrong.
