I would like to be proved wrong if I am btw.

If the clutch plates are worn out the engine would rev up and the bike won't catch speed, as the clutch would tend to slip.

Just tried the new RC390 brakes. They are so much of an improvement on my 2014 RC. Can anyone guide as to can i put that same setup on my duke 200?

The clutch plate on my bike is completely worn out and I'm waiting for the new one. I have low acceleration, top speed and engine braking. [emoji22]

Guys has anyone used pivot handle bar raisers with the RC 390 clip-ons?

I am planning for a K2K and thought of increasing the handle bar height just to get a bit more comfy along the ride, however I love the clipons and I dont want to use DUKE's handlebar.

I have a 1.5 yr old RC 390 close to 8k kms. Just noticed this damage on the stock rear tyre. Any idea what causes this kind of damage ? Guess I have to replace it asap. I use it for commuting to office, 36 kms daily. I rarely cross 100kmph and I drive smoothly. Any suggestions on which brand to choose ?
Hi loner,
If you're going to use the bike only for commuting and rare week end rides I recommend Michelin pilot street radial. The tyres are not as good as metzelers but are good for daily commutes and last much longer. I've completed close to 5k kms on the Michelin now they're good for city use, but I you wanna enjoy some twisty roads you've gotta heat up the tyres first. And about the damage I have no more idea.
Cheers,
Ady

can't comment about how it could have been happened but option is Michelin pilot street radial 150/60.
costing around 5.5k online. you can check/wait for offers on Amazon.in

it should glow both at a time when you select upper.
mine is 2015 model and both headlights can be on simultaneously.

Looks like something big and pointed as a big nail pierced it badly. But thats surprising that you did not noticed it, because you should have!

Is there anyone else who rides your bike?

Metzeler is soft compound and once it has served its 6-7k life it becomes more prone to stuff like this.

Hey buddy,
There's a way you can get both lights to work when using high beam. I'd seen a video on YouTube about this, you've gotta do something to the wiring inside the left hand side switch case. Also try asking the ktm mechanics to help you as the my bike (2016) came with aho feature and when using high beam both work, try checking the wiring on the 2016 rc and do the same to yours.
Cheers,
Ady 🙂

It's not a straight forward process. The brake rotor size has increased to 320mm. With this the rotor mounting on the wheel hub is also different. You need to change the wheel itself to get the new rotor on.

Alternatives would be to go for the new sintered brake pads. Next step would be to increase the rotor size by sourcing the galfer's 320mm rotor. It probably comes with spacers to reuse the existing calipers.

With my 2016 rc390, I'm running the EBC 606hh brake pads. Remarkable improvement in feel and brake force. 2 finger panic stops are possible. I've coupled it with adjustable levers. I'm satisfied for now.

oh that's really shocking.

That's a puncture that was fixed using the conventional tubeless plug in method.
The location of the puncture + the method used to fix it seems to be the cause of that abnormal bulge you see.

I doubt if it can be corrected by maybe trying to remove that tire plug and use a mushroom patch from the inside..

For replacement, you could go in for the michelin or the mrf revz c1 the later being cheaper by around 1500rs but a good tire never the less. If you can afford it, then get the metz itself.
