it isn't normal to have oil everywhere on the outside! the usual culprits are the valve cover gasket (the one with the two O-O) and the oil filter o ring area. Apart from that sometimes the seal at the front sprocket area (called output shaft seal iirc) can also fail causing oil to leak out.

you could try this before going for any engine repairs (don't let them buffoons touch the engine until you first diagnose the issue/rule out leaks)
    try this:
    1. remove the belly pan, better maybe all the fairings too!
    2. Go over teh bike and note down the spots where you see oil stains (the side stand area will have some gunk from the chain lubing, but sometimes can be overlooked by the failure of the output shaft seal)
    3. Give the bike a through wash with some shampoo/dish wash soap.. all over and under the bike.
    4. Now drive around (without the fairing/bellypan) for a couple of days and observe for any leaks/oil stains.

Even better would be if you could do an oil change (drain entire oil, replace with fresh oil and filter) and then the above steps.

And i'd appreciate if you could post some pictures of the current oil/oil level and of the oil leaks (is that what you mean by 'there is oil on the engine everywhere')

Hopefully you are checking the oil the correct way:
Idle the bike for a minute or once you are back from a ride
turn off ignition, wait for 30 seconds
check oil level with the bike on a flat surface (NOT on side stand or paddock stand) - ask someone to hold it upright.

Edit: Just noticed the pics. That is not normal. Looks like the gasket on the clutch and magnet side need replacement at the minimum! That shouldn't be major work. Just don't let them open the head/block or split the crank case.
an oil leak is probably what is causing the loss and not burning.. which is a good sign.

My! That's a mess indeed, and she's weeping from every orifice it possibly could. From what I can see, your oil filler cap, your blowby tube, on the right, on the left I see, that from the timing mark cap, and or it could be from the coil wire, which again is a leak. Your bike does need a complete and thorough wash and some TLC, big time. Start off with the basics, clean/wash the bike thoroughly without any oil residue. I'd definitely recommend you to drain the oil and check the quantity of oil removed, that should give you an idea of what's what and what's not.

I'd recommend you replacing all the gaskets, from from valve cover, to oil filter and oil drain plug and what not, do a compression check and also do inspect your head along with valves and seals. Easier said than done, but nonetheless, it's time to get your hands dirty. Wish you luck

      Cheers!

What's the wear limit on the front brake rotor on the 2016 rc390? Also what's the thickness when new? (All I can find online is for the 2017 model)

Got the culprit. Removed oil after nearly 4000 kms. It is 1300 ml, the sensor blew off. The gaskets are not available as of in nalstop ktm pune. Will get it changed from to to bottom all gaskets in one go as they arrive. And while changing the gaskets will check the valve wear too. Hope i m safe from that wear and tear and will go more atleast 15000 kms so i can go for engine rebuild from that.

As well i would like to know if anyone has the powertronic fitted in their bike the quickshifter version. Did you feel any lag in the throttle? I mean i feel that. I changed map 2 times. And when i plug the stock coupler it is all okay! Has anyone gkt a bit stabilised map?

After 4000 genuine kays, with oil level being at 1300 ML is pretty good rate, with only 300 ML being vanished. That being said, you've mentioned best pressure sensor, was it the source of a major leak or the sensor itself was malfunctioning? A malfunctioning OPS would read low oil pressure on the dash which you haven't experienced, at least as per your posts. Would like to get more info on what and where exactly was the leak point.

Secondly, yes, it's a good idea to replace all the gaskets in one go. Do keep your observations posted.

            Cheers!

It did read only after going above the 60kmph speedo. Which i do rarely as lavasa has been banned for bikers on weekends from past 3 weeks. Thats left only city rides which is hardly 30 kmph. So never read that. Left last sunday i went for a highway run. As soon hit 55kmph mark the speedo started showing low oil pressure. Went to svc. He checked the level. It was okay!. I insisted him to measure it and put some new oil as already passed 4k kms. Then came to know the OPS was busted and gor it replaced. Costed around 200 bucks. And oil for 1295 thats total bill amount of 1495/- as for gaskets washed my bike over 5 days before there are literally much lesser oil marks but belly pan had a muck but i can understand that much oil wasnt of 5 days leakage. Timer mark cap has no oil seepage from last 5 days. Still i asked the SVC manager to order all gaskets and replace them. He kindly agreed. I cant see my bike weeping off oils!

As well the service manager himself wrapped a new OPS with some teflon tape rounds as he found it cuprit for the leakage!

Great, when you get the gaskets replaced, get the bike cleaned throughly including the belly pan. So you have a clean slate to monitor if at all another leak develops.
For good measure ask them to apply very little gasket maker/sealant along with the gaskets.

Do you face throttle lag throughout the Rev range?
                    Also have you calibrated TPS?

Yes in the rev range! I didn't got your phrase " calibrated tps"! Doesnt it have the direct connection to TPS. Mine is version 3. It has the connection to TPS.

I mean do you face lag at a specific rpm?

You have to calibrate your bike's TPS with the piggyback, there is a option to do that on the software powertronic provide.

BTW which map are you using?
