Well, what you try to convey will further confuses people. Because there is a difference between 2-3 seconds and 10-15seconds, and let me explain why:Originally posted by hackernewbie View Post10-15 secs or 2-3 secs, I never counted that. I guess I was able to convey what I wanted to and that's enough from my POV.
what happens when you hold the SET for around 10 seconds while on Trip2 is that it takes you in to the RPM2 setting (which is not someone who wants to simply reset the trip2 needs) -- check out the pic i posted above.
so holding it for 2-3 seconds resets the trip2 , and anything more towards 10-15seconds will get you in to the RPM2 setting mode.. So there a difference in functionality.
BiKeLovER -- set the rpm1@5k and rpm2@7500 that is the shift indicator setup recommended by ktm for the first 1000km

Exactly what i am trying to do...It's a pain to look at those tiny RPM numbers,Originally posted by s1d View PostWell, what you try to convey will further confuses people. Because there is a difference between 2-3 seconds and 10-15seconds, and let me explain why:

While you wait for your babe, take time to download the owners manual from ktm's website and read it.. it is the EU version of manual but 99% of it is the same.Originally posted by vishal_soni View PostYup..will wait for my babe..

6th gear @7500rpm a duke200 touches 100kmph , the rc i think does a little less, so don't worry.. shift around the 5000rpm range and try not to exceed 7500 rpm (though exceeding it briefly is not going to blow up the engine either)
These limits are provided by the manufacturer with a certain degree/margin of safety.. so when in doubt just follow the recommendation by the manufacturer.
Where do you get these figures ?Originally posted by hackernewbie View PostNot necessarily below 60 but you need to be within 5.5k !!
KTM only recommends keeping the rpm under 7500rpm.
