    .
The mounting i did that night was not what you could call a perfect one, didn't get the chance to use the bags this weekend. anyhow i will post a better pic after mounting it in a perfect manner. Still to find the "position". once the correct position is set, its just a matter of sliding them on and fastening from next time onwards.

Will wait for the further pics. I guess daytime snaps will help a lot. Hope you had a fun ride with them.

Regarding Registration and RC book, does anyone from Pune knows how much time it takes for RC book?

It almost 70 Days since purchase, still RC book not received. Showroom guys saying it could take upto 90 days
I had only road TAX receipt by RTO with me.
(might be offtopic here, but its related to KTM)

This is a better topic at pune gtg thread.. RC book will be sent to your home directly via speed post.. These agents have nothing to do with it...

It takes 60 days from the day you got your bike registered.

Are you using the RC200 to tour?? Man I have ridden the RC extensively but I thought no one would want to tour on it. But I guess you get used to the aggressive riding posture after a while.
In Kolkata many of my friends own RC200 and 390 so I swap their bikes with my Duke 390 and ride them all the time.
Recently went to Lavasa, to ride bikes back to back against the RS200.
must say that the RC feels much better machine and totally justifies the price!

Get a can of nulon grease spray.. easier to apply, and it dispenses a thin spray which is easier to coat the chain. In rains, i simply use only the grease spray.
diesel to clean, gear oil or engine oil to lube chain + a spray on of grease.. economical yet works wonders. personally i feel spending a bomb on the cleaners/sprays doesn't make sense considering you can get a new chain sprocket kit for around 2400rs.
Regular clean + lubing is the key.
The chain on my D200 at 11k looks like it is ready to munch another 11k easily.

I use kerosene to clean the chain with a grunge brush.. it makes the chain shiny like new.. cost? 10-15 bucks max for cleaning, then the lubing, I use a SAE 90 oil (HP's EP 90) to be more specific, costs some 500-600 bucks per liter.. I'm thinking it will come for more than 25 uses lol.. and the best part? you can do it yourself & you can be satisfied with your work, I'm not just satisfied with the work done by the service guys, they don't clean the chain completely & spray half, I just am not satisfied with their quality of work & on top of it, they charge 100 bucks per chain-service.. the lubing is free, but they use engine oil or some mixture oil that's dirty & I hate that too.. Hence, it's my way or no way..

i guess i just got used to the posture , but hey RC is not a tourer per se but i am one so i try to make do.

saddle bags on and the next accessory is on its way from a northern place hope to get it soon "fingers crossed" , so that i dont have to deal with the crouching aggressively all the time anymore.

p.s. as you noted RC is pure fun to ride in the windy roads (and maybe thats the reason why most of my destinations are mostly atop hills or across winding roads)
