by 500ml solution, you mean adding 5ml of the concentrate to 500ml of water right ?! for a second i was shocked thinking you used the concentrate directly, until i read the last line explaining the economics !
I have been using the basic proklear for a while now and totally happy with it, and i even recommended it here a few weeks ago. It does save a ton of water and easy to use.
btw, how is this CX stuff on the matt parts (like the console, rear mudguard) ? does it leave any white residue on these unpainted plastics ? and i hope you aren't using it on the brake discs!
I bought it on your recommendation only, didn't know it existed before that lol, and yes i meant 5ml proklear in 500ml of water, It is good for everything, no residue anywhere and leaves a wax like shine.

Does that clean up the oil deposits near the side stand and the underbelly pan?? I'm thinking of ordering it too.. s1d jRay

Didn't try that as my hand doesn't reach there and the engine was somewhat hot so i didn't bother to check, but it cleaned some oil; near side stand area and it can clean lot of dirt, you just have to spray accordingly.

        UPDATE:

Back from KTM svc, turn out some contact was loose under the right RVM screw, tightening it fixed the problem.

for oil and grime build up near the stand /belly pan area, you are better off using some detergent and water.
it is best used for everyday cleaning and not for area's that are caked in dirt and oil (like the belly pan after riding in slush or the side stand oil grime).
I generally use a old newspaper to wipe the side stand so that my pants don't get soiled, no point using a cloth since you will have to throw the cloth away anyway. And the belly pan only get's a wash when the bike goes in for service, otherwise i just use the proklear (basic one) once or twice a week on the body, frame.

And im back after a small gap, was busy with the old boring office work.
Last time i did the trivandrum trip , one reckless cab driver hit my right RVM and the mirror kind of broke but the rvm module was left with no scratches, but boy i was in for a shock when i heard the unit price (almost 1.8k for a single rvm) and you cant get the top part alone . luckily one of my friends who accidentally dropped his bike and broke the "coincidentally" right rvm stalk itself, had the old one lying around. so i had him send it over to me. then came the surprise on how to swap the two pieces, for that i had to remove the blinker part(allen bolt) which gave access to a small spring loaded mechanism holding the mirror part, which was swapped with the one i got , without much drama. And now the raccoon is back as good as new.

and a friend showed up with his new 200 loaded with his first accessory for the else bone stock bike , a crash guard from RD moto i think, this also gave me a chance to compare how different a bike with very subtle mods looks compared to a stock 200.

ajay you too ordered the hazard lights eh? nice.

that sounds like me and hey thanks for the compliment it means a lot. hope to meet you guys next time.
ajay R was taken off , planning for something else , just hope i get that right. and yea about the guards, the design is too out of place, they do have a triangular shaped one that should match with the bikes lines. however i dont know wether this thing would save the bikes fairings at the cost of a bent frame, i dont think the guard connected to the light frame is that strong to support anything more than a low side slide. then again i may probably be wrong but i dont see me getting a pair of those anytime soon.

                  Meanwhile the usual weekend update.
This time the destination was "illikkal kallu in kottayam district , kerala". it has two routes leading to the place , one is a good tarred section which is the obvious choice when it comes to riding it on machines like ours, and the other one is completely broken trail , filled with huge stones and not a hint of road, and yes since its way uphill, had a lot of hairpin turns too despite the absence of a motorable road. and to spice things up , i decided to take the second route, and see how well the RC can work on terrains which are the exact opposite of what home is to it.
And as obvious as it is me writing this now, the ride uphill was a success and the RC held good throughout the ride.

                  -the less treacherous section

-the good section begins (and the curves)

                  and the prize!

the last pic is awesome.. and the roads look nice for taking corners and dragging knees.. my weekend update? I went to the track here & it was fun.. loved the experience.. motovation is the website where you can find more details.. it's motovation track days, yes, it's not a proper track. it's a circuit for go karts.. but wide enough for bikes.. and good enough.. so, yeah.. it's a nice place to learn..
vishnu.leo where do I plug in the hazard light adaptor? can you please put up a pic for me? TIA

Ok so I was riding back home when a bike from the opposite side hit my RHS mirror. Now only the glass has cracked while the rest of the mirror is fine. Upon checking with the SVC, they told that the entire mirror has to be replaced at a cost of 1700Rs. Is there an alternative? 1700 is too much for a mirror IMO. How can I get only the glass replaced?

You would stare a lot more if you'd remove that tyre hugger. (it's a must during rains though)
