      Re: Kawasaki ER6N

Sry for the pause guys.. was busy riding.. 1 week 980 kms done and now 1st service done.
Changed oil, filter and finishing costing 3408Rs. My costliest ever service.
It was done at Kasturba road. Felt sad that the station designed for Kawasaki was neat and clean read not utilized at all. One kawasaki at a time was being serviced along with the ktms.
This is sad as if fully utilized the bike dont have to wait for a spot in between the ktms for service.

      Bike related purchases..
      1. Spartan boots which cost 8k.
      2. TBG gloves at 3999.
      3. SOL metalman at 5k

      Now back to Riding

        4. 94kmph is economy for the bike. cant say the same for other models.
The bike shows economy till 6000 rpm. My bike touches 130 in economy mode, should be the same for ER 6N.

The absence of fairing causes that..

                    Finally got my bike
After the terrible wait the beast is finally home. The good part at the beginning.

Here are few pics taken at the delivery...

The bike is too good. Is small though looks bigger.
                    The first impressions:
                    1. The bike is very silent.
                    2. The power delivery is uniform but very quick.
                    3. You need to be careful on the throttle as even a small twist unleashes a lot of power.
                    4. The saddle is more comfortable than my FZ16.
                    5. The ride is very smooth and i can say smoother than my fz.
                    6. The ground clearance is good enough as i havent scraped any breakers yet.
                    7. The brakes have less bite though it should improve over time.
                    8. You can cruise at 20kmph in 2nd gear which is the best part though not advised.

                    Now the small cribs:
                    1. Heat can be felt at lower speeds. guess thats it for now.

                    The bad part now.

The guys were not that enthusiastic at the delivery as we can expect. It was more of a formality than a delivery though it was the 1st er6n to be delivered in bangalore. asked me to pay for the left grab rail which is by default a must and they gave me the reason that as saree guard is given grab rail is too be paid for. Common guys. the saree guard is not a part of the bike parts when it was manufactured. the saree guard was just added to confirm to indian norms. And that doesnt mean that they will remove an accessory of the bike for approval and sell it to the same person at approx 1000rs. thats cheating. this is pathetic at the least part.

Then they give me a bike with fuel already at reserve. Whereas usually at most of the showrooms its tanked up or atleast 5L above reserve. The guys did fill up half the tank after making hulabula. When you pay 5.63l for a bike it doesnt mean we will pay for everything and absolutely doesnt mean I am rich. its hard earned money and if Kawasaki takes it for granted then its actually the wrong attitude. Why couldnt they be more cordial and customer oriented than taking for granted that as its a kawasaki I can just walk blindly and pay for everything they should give freely.

So only if raise a hue will they wake up or continue to be blind and arrogant. The bike is awesome but this episode has left a really bad impression for a day which was otherwise supposed to be awesome and memorable.

Guys will update you on the beast as i munch more miles....
CONGRATS MAN.... This is one really sexy looking machine. I enquired about the price here just couple of days back and they quoted 5.05 lakhs on road!!! That too after the revised excise rise. Is it so expensive there?? If I had the money, I would have definitely picked up the ER6N as this one seems like more VFM than N300. Most of the Bajaj dealers are like that. You should have straight away asked for Kawa Sr Managers number and talked to him. You are now premium customer for them and little bit of discomfort becomes huge PIA for these dealers, let me tell you. Enjoy the ride man

                                Re: Kawasaki ER6N

I was facing two issues with my bike.
                                1. Vibration sound at 3000 rpm which turned out to be excessive play in the air valve in the tank cap.
                                2. My odo showing 99.9kmpl at time and huge variation in trip mileage even at constant speeds.

Visited the service center after which the tank cap was reassembled and the vibration issue resolved. The odo seems to be faulty and they have ordered the replacement and waiting for it to arrive. Both were covered under warranty.

The bike does collect a lot of dust
