I'm a former owner of the unicorn 160, which was most probably a lemon.

I noticed that the service centres adjusted the valve clearances using the recommended specs for the unicorn 150, which are different, causing a lot of issues some of which were described here.
Exactly the reason why I am afraid to give my bike for the first free service. They did this to my brand new Activa. Gave it to them for first free service, and after that, they screwed it up. Loss of pick up, loss of throttle response, etc. It just didn't feel like a new vehicle anymore.

I would rather give it to my trusty mechanic, who I've known for 15 years.

I am still contemplating whether to give my new Uni 160 for first service, although I'm a little afraid that I'll lose the official warranty if I don't. What a dilemma :|

I have never given any of my bikes to the showroom for service. Even the so called free service. They usually screw it up. Getting hold of a trustworthy mechanic is may a times better.

      Cheers,

While I understand your sentiment, I don't think the company and dealers are gonna let it go. If you don't give the motorcycle for free servicing as per the schedule, they MAY state that your warranty becomes VOID. Kindly clear the matter of warranty from a salesman or via emailing Honda. They won't inform you now that your warranty is void, they will bring it out only when you go to claim warranty repairs.

Guys I bought CB unicorn 160 in the 1st week of November 2017. I didn't even see it before booking, just bought it because it's the best commuter in that segment. Now that X-Blade 160 is out, I am tempted a lot mainly for the LED DC headlight and wider rear tire. I just hate unicorn's puny headlight, that too on AC (dynamo).

How much can I expect to get in return for this 4 months old motorcycle? It has run 1500 kms and it's in pristine condition. I am expecting 72000-75000, is it reasonable?

Bike engine scraped to bad speedbraker 2 times in a single day and now engine oil is leaking from bottom at 5-6 drops per day

Is it good idea to try slight upgrade from Stock tyres of rear and front ?

120/80 at rear, would be better ?

120/80 will definitely touch the bodywork under the pillion seat.

The front can be upgraded to 90/80 or 90/90 maximum.

ok will consider front for better grip.100/90 rear ? as it has many options like in MRF & few Michelin ?
