                Hello people,
I got my AS 200 yesterday evening. (Blue colour). Bike looks good and performs good. Only thing I am feeling worse is the engine heating. It bursts my legs. Is that normal or is that abnormal. I was riding R15 v2.0 before and I didn't encountered such a heating issues in that. (probably due to full fairing.)

Its OK. Happened with all NS owners. Its just matter of time. Let the engine set in,follow proper run in process(not bajaj ones ). All niggles will be solved after first service. Coming from r15 you are welcome to experience bad bajaj after sales services . Don't leave your bike in SVC .

                      So, finally..

Took delivery of my Blue AS200 this morning, it isnt registered it. Took it home any ways, done only about 12-15 kms of riding.

Nothing noticed, nothing much to comment at the moment.

                      > Vibes present at the moment, ignoring them hoping this will be sorted in a while.
                      > Heat seems to be under-control I am used to much more expelled heat on the Ceeber.
                      > Eurogrip seems ok for normal use (<60kmph) on dry roads, dint encounter wet roads.
                      > Seating does seem to be a bit tall, I am 6.2' might be an issue for very short riders.
                      > Fit and Finish : seems ok
                      > Indicator switch just sucks! Is there a way to fit the 220 switch gear on this ?
                      > Bike looks bulky at times, lean and compact sometimes! Am confused too. Should have taken the Red, looks bigger. Black looks sophisticated.
                      > The Blue AS200 blends-in well with the crowd, no unwanted attention on the roads.

Will be changing the oil @50 kms, @500kms @1500kms and then on will switch over to Motul 5100 with a 5000 kms drain interval.

Running in - Currently staying under 4K RPM and sprinting through all the gears and driving only on city roads without pillion.

Post 500 kms service, will rev it up a bit once in a while.

re: Pulsar AS 200 Owners Review and Experiences

                                Completed around 60kms till now.

                                Noticed some issues :

                                1. The idle RPM shoots up to around 2.5K, which was irritating. I had to switch off and restart everytime I was on neutral at a signal. Since there is no FI involved, I am assuming its the Auto clutch thats doing this mischief. Need to get this checked.

                                2. There is bit of clatter in the engine head, this could be the timing chain which usually gets adjusted in the 1st service, not very concerned right now. But will have to keep a close watch on this one.

                                3. The gear lever and the break lever is too high up. Need to really arch my ankle to use the brake, and with the gear lever while up-shifting need to really stretch my feet, especially for 1st - 2nd. If enough force isn't applied, the box gets stuck on neutral. This could be a simple DIY, but not sure if have the tools will head to Svc Center to lower the levers a bit.

                                4. Horns are quite strong, don't think its the same as the one on NS

                                Just another observation :

At 4000RPM the bike does around 59kmph. Now the P220 used to do 64kmph at 4000RPM. This would mean its shorter geared, but since this was intended to be a tourer, shouldn't they have had taller gearing ? Now at about 100-110kmph cruising speed I would be maintaining a higher RPM than the P220 while the 200 is the more powerful motor. I observed this on my CBR too, CBR does 64kmph at 4000RPM with a 26HP mill, thats the same as a lower spec P220. Only difference was the CBR could push a few 100 clicks more due to its higher power output and was able to reach better speeds than the 220. I kinda don't understand the logic, thought the 6th gear was for overdrive and to help us cruise at lower RPMs.

Oh yes, Another observation! The turn radius is huge! its like turning around a truck.
