re: Benelli TNT 600i - Onwers' Reviews & Experiences
I have a question to all Benelli owners . I currently have duke 390, planning to go for benelli 600i after few months.
I have few questions below. Please can someone answer it
1. What is the 0-100 timing of benelli 600i ? it it better than 390 ? bcoz 600i weighs more, at the same time it has more power
2. How does it compare with 390 in terms of sharp handling, cornering. I am Not expecting it to be very sharp due to its weight
3. I heard there are no vibes at all, which means it vibrates less than 390 ?
4. What about Engine Heat hitting your thighs in bumper to bumper city driving
5. I know it is foolish to ask for fuel efficiency for inline 600i sports bike, but still I want to know what mileage can I expect in 600i, can I expect around 20kmpl in city ?
Thanks in Advance !!Past & Current Bikes :

I have answered your question 4 and 5 based on what I heard from few friends.Originally posted by jamesrocky View PostI have a question to all Benelli owners . I currently have duke 390, planning to go for benelli 600i after few months.
4. What about Engine Heat hitting your thighs in bumper to bumper city driving - Heat is imminent, when i took a TD, the temperature was hovering around 80c, I was able to feel light heat around my tighs. My friend who owns a 300, says he can feel the heat in B2B traffic and not much worrying. Once on open roads, it comes back to lesser temp
5. I know it is foolish to ask for fuel efficiency for inline 600i sports bike, but still I want to know what mileage can I expect in 600i, can I expect around 20kmpl in city ? - I was told 21-24 inside city, and 27 on highways, and also to use a good fuel. I am planning to use Shell Super mostly.
Thanks in Advance !!

Re: Benelli TNT 600i - Onwers Reviews &amp; Experiences
jamesrocky.. There is a video on YouTube by zigwheels comparing the duke 390 to the benelli 300. Add better power figures and build quality to the equation minus ABS and slipper clutch and you have the 600i. You can watch the video.. pretty much answeres your remaining questions..
PS. If you are after performance and have experienced the dukes then logical upgrade would be 600i.
Best of luck. hope to see your ownership review here soon..

re: Benelli TNT 600i - Onwers' Reviews & Experiences
I come from 2 years of experience with duke 390 and now upgrading to 600i. to me it seemed like a perfect upgrade.. although the 'stupid' side of me had convinced me to go for hyosung gt650r first as I was deparately looking for upgrade and sports riding stanze. but then it was perfect timing that benelli came and 1 test ride was enough to wash my mind completly off. I am extremly happy with my choice now even though its yet to be delivered to me. I'll try to answer your questions to my best knowledge.Originally posted by jamesrocky View PostI have a question to all Benelli owners . 1. There was a video from thailand where they did a 0-100 test and it came out to be nearly 4.9-5.1 secs. better than duke but one can hardly notice it. the weight and bhp are almost doubled so the ultimate pace somewhat remains the same.. but its not just about 100, duke reaches 100 easily but then takes time to progress post 125. Benelli, on the other hand, being linear in power delivery might feel only a hairthin bit slow but it picks up like anything. ofcourse the heavy weight and momentum build up thing. but the assurance, stability and most important Feel you get is uncomparable..
2. Hanlding comparison wont be fair between both but is still quite neck to neck to be honest. I had a pretty supermoto style of riding with duke so jumping over bumpers and obstacles was lot of fun and easy stuff to do.. cutting traffic was also super fun. ofcourse i can or cant still do it with 600i depending upon how long i wanna keep it ..hehe.. but still what I felt was that 600i despite of being heavy was super friendly to manouver in city traffic. I test rode around 9:30 am in karol bagh and ridge road in delhi... so i cud test almost evrything with the bike and in bumper to bumper traffic it was very easy to handle it. Infact to be honest the smooth power delivery is a lot better than the duke and hence it doesnt keeps the rider super aggressively engaged all the time and it feels more comfortable and relaxed. plus the seat is perfect !!
3. Vibes are very minimal on lower side.. but post 8-9k you can feel some on the handle and pegs.. which i think should be there to creat that connection with the bike.. no point of riding something that powerful without the physical feel of it. some vibrations are good
4. the test bike i rode was being ridden for about 3 hours already in the same city conditions and few long stretches where every one was pullin it like hell. I tried turning bike off on signals and keeping it on some times.. but still the heat was barely felt. it was sunny day too.. so after quite some testing.. the heating was still i'd say one third the heat duke used to throw.. and no one has yet reported abt heating as far as i have seen on forums.
wont be able to comment on the mileage.. but if it maintains an average of 20kmpl, I'll be satisfied.
I hope this helps clearing the clouds a bit. If not, go and take a test ride.. it'll clear up the rest of doubts
cheers !Ride what you Love !!

Wow Thank You Very much Sanket. I really appreciate for giving lengthy answers. You have answered all my questions. I am convinced now. re: Benelli TNT 600i - Onwers' Reviews & Experiences
Anybody have a clue if DSK BANELLI has sold even a single 899 or the TNT R ?? NO review No videos, No ownership details. . . they lost the limelight, it looks like.Being on two wheels is being liberated. The vastness one feels being under the open sky. The whole feeling. . . cant be described.
Ride safe, Ride long.
