Im not sure why it is so. Some sources in Thailand claim 230kmph top speed, here they claim 240kmph. My estimate is considering the 150KG limit they have stated for rider + pillion weight, top speed might only achieve 185kmph at full load of 150.

      Noob Question Alert!

Is the Benelli 600i with Ixil Exhaust road legal? Can it be used on a daily basis without getting caught by the cops?
At what RPM does it really scream?maybe if ridden around 4 to 6K it sounds ok?just wondering...

Legal or illegal, those fools will stop you for all the stupid reasons in the world, however, right you are, and by the way I came to know that the Ixil exhausts cost a whopping 55k here!!!!

None of the aftermarket exhausts are road legal. Not even the Yoshimuras on Hayabusa Z edition, which comes with Yoshis by default! :|

Then how in the world are they selling here in our country. Why cant the law break down even before they are installed , rather than we paying for the punishment.

I highly doubt thats true. if anything, I think the work around is that Aftermarket exhausts with Baffles inside them are legal. thus you get noise reducing baffles with them. what may not be road legal is an exhaust without them.

Afterall there are three BIG companies selling them LEGALLY , preinstalled. so pretty much as part of your bike. Harley, Triumph and Benelli.

It's all about decibel levels. Even RE bikes are on sale LEGALLY and they have variety of exhausts for customization. Busa riders are fined for plonking Akrapovics but nobody stops a RE. It's all about lax norms brother.
Fact - Indori end cans on a bullet are louder than Akrapovics.

Sent from my phone. Kindly avoid it while riding.

lol yeah man some laws have become so irrational with the test of time . . . and you are right, if I was to buy this bike with the exhaust , i'd be so well prepared to get pulled over for no reason lol

I think this is the conclusion! you might get stopped even if everything is legal on your bike maybe just because its a big bike....etc So keep aside some "fine money" and ride? LOL
On a serious note, that Ixil exhaust sounds like a crazy beast, maybe we can/should use it outside city limits freely?

Gor for white or black, You will get the RED trellis frame under your Tank and shrouds ! . . Red bike only has a black trellis frame

Couple of years back I had got a free flow exhaust fitted for my R15 at a authorised yamaha workshop, the exhaust was from yamaha.
The dealer then had made me sign a document (from yamaha) which stated " this product is meant only for closed circuits and is not street legal.
So I guess the free flows are meant only for tracks

Any after market modifications are illegal. Even changing headlight bulb or putting dual horns are illegal if they have not come with the bike/car. But how many of us care for every little mod ?
