      Hi Guys,

Late to the Benelli 600i Community i guess. Well im a Proud Owner of a Benelli 600i Purchased from Torque Bikes in Delhi on 19th September.

First the THE DEALERSHIP - The Experience was OK as i got the bike on a loan which i got approved myself from my RM. Booked for 2 Benelli Jackets and even made the payment but didn't get them till date and been close to 2 weeks now even tho they were kept aside for me as stated by the Sales Team. Secondly 2 days before the delivery had asked them to do a PDI before i come to pick up the bike but wasn't completed and had a hard time with the Dry Hard clutch for a week which made me visit the Benelli Workshop. Moreover the bike registrations havent started yet as communicated by the dealer.DSK Benelli needs to pull up their socks in Delhi if they have to make a dent here.

The Workshop - The only workshop right now is in Moti Nagar which is in dead center of the Industrial Area which can be task to find. It does not have a proper customer waiting area like Kawasaki and Harley. Mechanics seemed knowledgeable and are constantly trained but honestly you would expect a better workshop from a Super bike Maker.

The Bike - The Bike ticks all the boxes for most of us. Have completed 1300kms but havent got the 1st service done which would happen this Saturday.

For all those who want to know kitna Deti hai its 18-19kmpl in the City and 20-22kmpl on the Highway.

      Pros

      - Good Engine
      - Great Sound
      - Looks
      - Great Handler
      - Riding Stance is User Friendly unlike proper Super bikes.
      - Good Suspension
      - Good Cooling. No Burnt Legs

      Cons

      - Weak Headlight
      - Hard Clutch can be a nightmare in Traffic
      - Benelli Brakes not upto the standard of Brembo and fade away soon with continuous Riding.
      - Fuelling is a bit Jerky can be improved with an ECU remap tho if required.
      - Weight can be an issue on Hill Rides.

      Trips Taken

Been to Chakrata from Delhi for the Long Weekend and can say it can munch miles but some added Help would have been great as mentioned next.
Bike ran trouble free but as soon as you start going over 110-120 the Wind blast pins you down and cant carry on that speed for long if you want to be stress free.
An aftermarket windshield available on Rider88 should do the Trick and save from the wind blast.
Seats can get uncomfy after a while need a gel pad or extra foam for long rides.
Palms can pain on the Hills as the weight of the bike can be an issue while turning in and especially during descent.
NO option to carry bags on the bike with a pillion so would be getting a custom rack built soon for the bike. Looking for a proper vendor.

Brakes have faded a lot both front & Back . Rode on bad roads and the front brake started giving a squeaky noise which i guess could be dirt that was stuck between the pad and the disc need to get it checked but was shocked as it hasn't happened on my previous bike a Honda CBR even tho i have traveled extensively on it.

      Future Upgrades

      - Philips Xtreme vision Plus Bulbs
      - More Seat Foam
      - Iridium Spark Plugs
      - Sliders
      - Possible Luggage Rack for Long Rides.

        Congrats Jay bjai.

I too had that squeeling sound when applying front brakes ...But it faded away today morning while riding...may be some muck got stuck between the pad and the disk. My clutch is not that heavy..so able to manage ..In B2B traffic, its little uneasy...

I am getting around 20-21 kmpl inside city. I hardly cross 4.5k rpm inside city...Which translates about 65 kmph at 6 gear...

Highways I havent tried a long ride yet...so havent got a chance to check the mileage.

Congratzz jay.. and as for first service its suppose to be done within 1000kms.... have anyone told you otherwise there in svc...here in bangalore, i asked them staight and twisty and finally confirmed that it has to be done before it reaches 1000kms and within 30-45 days, otherwise warranty will be void.. and if it crosses 1000kms it will skip to 2nd service..please check on this..

Thanks bro but already cleared this at the workshop before i left for my trip so no issue and i know first service should be done at 1000kms or 30-45days from the date of purchase as you quoted.
Will be going for the Service this weekend itself.
On a Personal Note i dont think many would be sticking to the warranty anyways would you be riding your bike for 24000kms in 2 years with a service every 4 months.
I had asked Benelli guys the same question seems more like a money making mantra for the company sell the bikes for cheap and earn by servicing them frequently.

Even my CBR250 had a 6000km Interval and normally you ride a bike 6000-7000kms in a year if you are a city commuter.

Secondly i had enquired the cost of a few basic items which was way beyond whats available in the market

Benelli Spark Plugs (Normal) - Cost is Rs 1085 a piece at the showroom, While in the Market they are available for 150 a piece. Don't mind paying the extra for the brand but asking for too much when you can get much better Iridium plugs for Rs 2200 for a pack of 4.

So personally wont be sticking to the Warranty if that's the case wont be getting a service done just for the sake of warranty even tho i wont be riding that much. Since its scorching hot in delhi in summers.

Yes the brake squealing is quite common, I faced it too but nothing to worry about you can get your pads cleaned and reinstalled, should be fine.
