Has anybody installed ixil from day 1??
Also it seems aftermarket exhausts need a power commander to keep the air fuel mixture correct.. i dont think benelli is providing the whole exhaust plus power commander setup for 50k.. all the demo bikes have ixil minus power commander maybe thats the reason for that snatchy fuelling around 5k rpm?? Any ideas fellows?

I think it's an ecu reflash. Everybike has an ecu that controls the fuel injection. That is what is messed with if the exhaust pressure is reduced. I have heard that benelli does an ecu reflash because the exhaust removal on the tnt 600i involves removal of the catalytic converter.

If somebody can correct me if I am wrong.

Hello, yes i got the ixil installed before the delivery of the vehicle and its just a slip on and no power commander comes with it.

I am not sure if the technical staff flashes the ECU after installing the slip ons, they might have done it if the FI lights comes on after the removal of catalytic converter or they might have not.

The bike pulls clean from as low as 2k all the way to 11k RPM, no choppy fueling so far for me, poor quality of fuel in the test bike can be the reason.

I was just wondering if the after market from day 1 has any effect on the bike general performance and engine longetivity compared to maybe post break in..

It's a slip on, it will not have any such effect

oooh thats well and good. i read somewhere that stock exhaust gives about 20 kmpl but with ixil you drop down to about 7 - 8 kmpl. if you ever get a chance take a note and confirm what you get please lol

I don't know if you any of you guys have come across this incident, someone named Vasu Gupta from Delhi had owned the 600i and had a problem with it, a serious one though, not sure how much genuine it is, don't know whether he is a member here or not, saw his post put on Benelli Motorcylce page in FB. I guess sanket can check this out with the service center if possible as its from Delhi.

Below is the link for the picture of his bike and the description of his problem.

He probably has a blocked vent/Breather pipe inside his tank. They should be able to fix it

Yes I am aware of this case. Infact Vasu is already added in our delhi benelli riders group and he explained us the issue. I told him the same possible solution that the air drain pipe must have been blocked somewhere. And it is nothing too much to worry about and can be solved easily once diagnosed properly.
Not sure what next step he plans to take.
