Hey pal just avoid hard acceleration and sudden braking...rev through gears gradually and try not to exceed 6000 rpm in any gear and you will be fine

Its not the speed, its the engine rpm that has to be maintained.
5k is the limit they are quoting, for any gear..comes to 100kmph @ 6th gear.
then follow normal run-in practices if you want an everlasting engine
      - Keep rev under 5k till 1000km and 8k till 1600km.
      - Keep varying speed till 1st service, don't maintain a constant speed .i.e keep giving varying load to engine with pillion/without pillion/various road conditions, etc.
      - Once in a while DO accelerate to top say till 8 or 10k in once a 100-200km or so.. don't do it frequently.. once a while is actually good(but never touch the red area)
      - Do not rev hard in neutral .i.e no load condition..you will be tempted to do so, but pls don't do it until 1000km atleast.
      - When you start in cold conditions (eg.morning) keep the engine idle for a while and let it attain some temp say 50+ atleast, don't start revving as soon as you start the bike. this goes for all the time, not just for run-in.

If all goes well you won't have any engine problems in future. (y)

May be slow, but still ahead !!

Congrats ankit bro. Do treat us soon with your Golden eagle. Waiting for the pics.

Rgerading the speed limit, rather put it as RPM limited. DO ensure you dont cross 5k till 1000k and 7-8k till 1600 - 2000 kms. It doesnt mean you have stick your accelarator at 3k and keep driving till the road ends..No.. DO vary the rpm limit between gears..try to reach 5k in 4,5,6 gear and keep varying the speed accordingly.

Never revv the bike at idle, its not good for the engine. Leave the bike to idle for 60-90 seconds for the bike to heat up and oil to flow a bit.

        Take care and ride safe.

        Congrats once again

ID:	1921164So Gents,
I went for a trip from Delhi to Kasar which is 20-25kms ahead of Almora about 850kms odo round and happy to share that overall the experience was awesome. The sound of bike on long routes with stock exhaust is just blissful.. you can never get bored of it. and it pleases you and people around everytime when you pull it even a little bit. that growl..just ummmm.. I had a friend along on duke 390 so we had super fun throughout chasing and teasing each other on highways and mountains both standing equally good against each other. Ofcourse ours is a major crowd puller so my bike served as a body gaurd for duke as no one was interested in it all and everyone wanted to get close to mine. you always have to be attentive while away as someone will be definitely trying to get a new fb profile pic posing on it. and randomly playing with all the switches and gears.
          anyways, apart from all that..

bike handled pretty good and is rock solid on speeds and turn. feels contained. takes jumps and dives pretty good but the suspensions do feel a bit too soft at times. I took jumps and dives on uneven road about 3-4 feet resulting in bottoming out the front.. but i'm glad nothings broke or damaged.

few things that need a tweak in my opinion are.

seat was ok for me, i m used to tough seating. i have never used gel seat so far so dont know how better it wud be but i am going to get one now to try the difference.

handle bar definitely need to be raised for long tours. city tashan k liye theek hai. but long tours me you'll feel some struggle reaching out for it. btw i am 5'8" so it was a bit far for me on such long tour. might be fine for others.

I m ok with clutch, but its the throttle which really gave me a hard time. too hard. its like it is constantly fighting to just cut itself off and you have to keep pulling it to maintain the speed. very uncomfortable. not sure how this can be made better. will talk to sc guys.

suspensions really need some tightening up. I wish it had a front load adjuster. but its still fine. but the rear is at times just to soft. i already had it 2 points harder setting but still.

my front suspension bottomed out 3-4 times while offroading patches and sudden dives in the road and big bumps. mind you i have a little motocross inspired riding style while offroad patches coming from duke background.
i remember jumping my bike about 3-4 feet in air on bumps at 100+ speed. a lot of pot holes and road imperfections just pass in air. but the bike took hits pretty well. solid built quality thats for sure.

i might switch to a bigger windshield very soon. mine looks cool but falls a bit short on 200+ speeds. i did 212 kmph twice. and it was awesome but hard to hold for long.

gearing is super smooth throughout but this bike definitely needs a gear indicator and you can easily find yourself juggeling in the 4-5-6 as it revs nearly same in every gear.

bike was super fine on the heating part throughout the trip except for the stupid UP traffic jams while coming back. but even there it only went till 100deg. I hardly felt any heating overall. And i did an extremely bad offroading patch off about 7 kms crossing Bajpur.. there too the temp was hardly 96-98. i must say the heat management of this bike is worth a salute. and radiator didnt take any beating at all. i think we can live without a radiator gaurd.

Will be adding pics shortly in the same post.

So that was all for now folks. will share more stories soon.

RTO is having some tough time registering the bikes that were actually inspected in July for registration.

So, chasing the dealership for the RC.

It's true but partially. They look like 899 headlights but are a retrofit lookalike for the 600i. Not original 899 or 1090 headlight
Being on two wheels is being liberated. The vastness one feels being under the open sky. The whole feeling. . . cant be described.

thats true but i believe this can solve people who have issues with front look of the bike .
i recently test drove the bike and found the rear to be damn aggressive and front looks not so .
i believe this is plug and use headlight as stated by the site .i hope somebody could try this on and post it in the thread .
