re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
Hey guys, I am very inclined to buy the 600i and have a query which is bothering me a bit about the maintenance cost of the bike. I was informed that the service interval of the bike is 4000 kms and average cost of the service is 6k. Whereas the other big bikes have a 10k service interval. Can someone throw some light on this?

AFAIK only Triumph has 10k interval. Interval of Kawasaki & Honda is at 6k kms.Originally posted by ethan View PostHey guys, I am very inclined to buy the 600i and have a query which is bothering me a bit about the maintenance cost of the bike. re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
Finally My Dream became True !! I always wanted a Superbike right from my childhood. Well you get these big bikes only if you are born with a silver spoon in your month. I slowly graduated from my very first KB 100 to Rx 135, Honda Unicorn, KTM Duke 390 and Finally the Benelli 600i. I took the delivery on Friday and I got the bike ( white color) within 19 days. I am really happy about the initial service provided by the Benelli Team in Bangalore. I was welcomed like I am a celebrity in their showroom right from the test ride till I got the bike. Everything was smooth, just like the bike
Here are the Pics below. I was told not to cross more than 5-6k rpm. I have already covered 250kms in 3 days :P
Pros :
Engine is Butter Smooth
I am yet to explore the power as I have not crossed above 5k, but I am already at 105kmph under 5k and the bike feels like it is starting
You can ride it in 6th Gear at around 30kms without changing any gear and there is no knocking
I have touched 105 max till now and you won't notice it.
The build quality of the bike is excellent except the switches and mirrors
The Front Brakes are good, Back break is ok
Easily maneuverable in city in spite of 230kgs
Pillion comfort is Good. You feel like sitting in car due the smoothness
Last but not the least, The Sound of an In-Line 4 and the twin exhaust makes you like a celebrity.
Cons :
The Plastic quality of the switches are not good.
The Mirrors visibility are horrible
The Mirrors vibrate while riding and it is little difficult to see behind clearly while riding
The turning radius is big, you can just take a U-turn like in duke 390
Absence of ABS. ABS should have been a mandatory thing in these big Bikes about 300cc atleast
Absence of proper wind shield. Need an after market wind shield
The bike in 6th Gear is not that smooth, I feel I am in fourth gear and sometimes I try to up shift
Things planned :
Need to buy frame sliders, after market windshield

. Congrats buddy.
.
I have given mine for 1st service. Service cost is 4200 excluding the labour charges.
Hoping to munch more miles after this. Have planned for a 150km round trip next Sunday. Cant wait.
Wish you good luck and I do agree on the cons mentioned. But I dont care when I ride
PS: Who ever you are taking as pillion, make sure they have a wind-cheater, rather should i say dirt-cheater. The rear wheels spews muck and mud all over the seat. Trust me, I wasted my LP shirt as it had few drops of tar stuck to it. I am still thinking what to do to prevent the mud from spraying all over (especially when the road is wet). And make sure you get a radiator gaurd asap. The rubber is an Intermediate compound and tends to get hot sooner. Hotter it gets, grippier it becomes and picks up hell a lot of small stones and catapults towards the radiator grill. I have already bent few vents

Yes ,when I ride the bike even I don't care about the cons as every bike has its own plus and minus points.
BTW first service is free which is for 1000kms or 30 days which ever is earlier, why are you paying 4200RsPast & Current Bikes :

re: Benelli TNT 600i - Owners' Reviews & Experiences
Free is only in terms of Labour charges buddy, Not the consumables. The Motul Oil used will cost you a fortune, along with the Chain cleaning consumables too. I was quoted this price. I will put a copy of the receipt here tomorrow.Originally posted by jamesrocky View PostBTW first service is free which is for 1000kms or 30 days which ever is earlier, why are you paying 4200RsR15S - Current
