I asked fellow users saying my story of punctured rear tyre. I am happy to say that i had tubed my tubeless tyre. and It is running extremely well including a 1000km trip. My tyres are fed with Nitrogen.

Yes guys, I went for a 1000km trip to Andhra. Chennai-Tirupati-Gandikota(Grand Canyon of India)-Belum Caves(2nd biggest natural caves in Indian subcontinent)-Chennai (via Nellore).
Trip covered a total trip of 1020 kms. On an average my bike is giving mileage of ~50kms. I dont ride too fast or too slow. Maintained average speed of 75km/hr(though roadworks prohibited me from going above 60 in Belum caves-Nellore Route. Trip took 3 days and 2 nights. Accompanied with a pillion rider.
Comment from pillion rider: Experience not so good. Seat is very hard comparing to other 2 wheelers.

Coming to trip, i never had any issues with bike. In fact i hit my front tyre rim very hardly at one place. All i remembered was Pulsar RS 200 incident, where the rim was shattered. But Gixxer was very safe. One and only problem i faced was my gixxer hitting in humps for 5 times throughout the road. I felt bad. Does anyone else had hit your bikes down part with speed braker???
PS:I never had a hit in Tamilnadu roads yet, except for once where i crossed a barrier in road with bike.

Secondly, I went for a road trip of 350+kms from Chennai-Pondicherry through ECR. Believe me guys, dont ever go over speed in this road. Your life is in danger. I do know ECR is a scenic route to ride. But the experience what i got was just ONE meter away from death. All i wish to thank was the Front and rear brakes in Gixxer SF. I was driving with an average speed of 75km/hr. and then i decided to break the speed barrrier and was going in 90km/hr. After 5 minutes, i saw an innova fool overtaking and coming towardsme. I was in proper lane and was near to the biker's lane in the ECR. Innova fool crossed bikers lane of my side. I applied sudden brakes and bike started wobbling, so without having any choice i stopped braking one meter before i was about to collapse with innove. Luckily innova fool took a full cut and went to his lane. If it was not that, i wouldn't have been typing this. While the innove fool came in my lane, i thought he is going to take a right turn and so he is coming towards my lane. But then i realized there s no right turn there. It was really great escape friends. So whoever planning ECR ride, be cautious. En route i saw a fresh accident where 2 indica cars collided completely.

While returning i took Tindivanam- Chengalpet GST Road back to chennai. I will be putting few pics in my next post.

I happen to take a test ride of this machine and believe me I really enjoyed riding it. Very smooth machine. As I have been an owner of honda unicorn in my previous bike I could make out a lot of good difference in this machine only while ridding it.
The good point is that you are very comfortable while ridding the bike.
Overall I had a good time as the dealer knows me so he gave me the bike without any person sitting behind me so I took the test ride bike which had just come back from service. I am sure the brand new bike must be very comfortable as we know how to maintain the bike.

Thanks bro's. Can anyone suggest a good showroom in Chennai for servicing my bike? Did my first service in ABT Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd, Nandanam. It wasn't up to the mark. They didn't water wash the bike which was clearly visible. I wanted a good servicing this time.

        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

How about the servicing in Vadapalani showroom or Adambakkam showroom? (As they're nearer)

Does anybody know about clipons ? Are they available for SF? If anyone has installed, how is the seating posture and how has it affected the handling?
Also has anybody installed an aftermarket K&N air filter on the SF? If yes how is the performance? Any reply on this topic will be appreciated

ECR is most dangerous road, like kerala highways... always drive safely on the left side of the lane. I too came this way back from mahabalipuram with my p150.

I am now riding a CBR150 that has clip ons, my first ever. Initial few days were tough for me. But I haven't been on a bike for the past 5 years and have just average fitness for a 30 year old. So maybe it was just because of personal factors.

Now I am much more comfortable. Coming to Gixxer SF, yes clip ons will definitely give it more sporty stance as compared to the relaxed riding stance offered by the current set up. My suggestion is to keep the stock set up unless:
                                1. You want clip ons for looks as SF has sporty looks otherwise and clip ons will make it look sportier.
                                or
                                2. You wish to have a sporty stance in your ride rather than relaxed riding posture. There might be slight pain in wrists in the initial few days but that will be for a few days only and your body will adjust to the new riding posture.

YZF-R15 has more dedicated riding posture overall. The front of the bike is lower, seat is at an angle and footpegs are more rear set as compared to Gixxer SF. So a SF even with clip ons shall ideally be more comfortable as compared to R15.
