Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Thanks, which other bike will be good for comfort?Im 6 feet tall. I wish the handlebars were a bit higher as I need to hunch a little, however the lower seat helps reduce discomfort to a large extent.
More comfortable than the Fazer for me.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I've been watching these forums since a long time but thought that its about time I join. First of all, thanks guys for being an excellent resource of information about the Gixxer SF!
I was about to book one for myself when I heard the news of the rear disc version of the bike. The dealership guy didn't have a clue about it, though.
What would you guys suggest? Should I wait for it or go for the normal drum brake variant?
I'm a new to the biking scene, mind you, having experience only on a Pulsar 180 where I learned riding.

Well I was on the same dilemma about waiting for the rear disc version or not... But my current bike is giving up on me... So I went ahead and booked the SF MotoGP edition on 12th Oct [emoji16]Originally posted by aquibmastan View PostI've been watching these forums since a long time but thought that its about time I join. Well even the dealer I spoke too had no clue about the rear disc variant... Seems like its launch is still some time away...

Yeah, I think I'll wait for a few days. Diwali is not far off and I have a feeling it is going to be announced very soon or around that time. The wait is going to kill me, but I guess I'll somehow hold my horses. Hey Evryone,
Crossed 3000kms on my gixxy...and had to ride in heavy rains and now..this is the condition of the chains..
Evn the black paint of the engine is peeling off...
Do i need to take the bike to the SVC to get chain lubricatd or smethng..?
Don't think it is fine as it is to keep driving..
Suggestions are welcome..NEVER.....Take your eyes off the road...!!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
But a motul chain cleaner and motul chain lube it will cost you around 300 bucks each, it will last you for 15 rounds so you can use it 500-700kms once if you visit the svc they charge you 250 plus service tax , lube your chain once in 10 days!! Happy riding!!Originally posted by gr8mindhiphopin83 View PostHey Evryone,

Are you worried about the chain or engine color...?Originally posted by gr8mindhiphopin83 View PostHey Evryone,

Engine color will fade off... and you cant do anything as the the color burns since the engine gets hot... atmost you can get it colored after 10000kms or so...
I asked SVC regarding chain lubrication and they said that chain needs to be lubed every 1000kms there is no chain cover on it. So it gets dryer and dirtier in very short run...
