    Has anyone considered ceat?
I was on the search for a good pair of rubber for my brother p220 and we zeroed on ceat on suggestion of the local mech
To be honest its better than the stock ones p220 came and way cheap

As for me i have seen Michelin's and they are completely fine to go with
I too think pirellis are overkill. But want to know what other gixxerians use so that I can decide which one to go with.

I face the same problem on my CBR 250. Apply the front brake too hard at low speeds and the bike skids. I use Contigo tyres and the brakes are by bybre.

Only solution is to press and release the front brake rapidly. Mimicking ABS action.

There is this something called as muscle memory. You don't pump brakes like crazy trying to mimic ABS but you practice enough on braking to know how much brake to apply when and where.
Also, don't just rely on either of the brakes.
This is after assuming that you don't have any air in the brake lines.

Will there be any increase in performance after the break in period?? I just completed the first break in cycle (800kms). The is struggling big time. Above 60-65Kmph it sounds like the engine is dying and out of power. Is there any problem with my bike? By the time i reach 5-5.5k rpm it almost feels like the bike is red-lining and struggling. Seen in many you-tube videos that this problem is non existent. I'm getting a good mileage but the performance i feel is really bad to what i saw. Have doubts it'll even go beyond 85-90kmph while there were videos of it going 120-130 kmph. Don't know if this problem is specific to my bike or the break in period. Would love to hear your opinions. Thanks.

If you are following the manual for the breakin process then you must have stayed below 4.5-5k rpm for the first 800kms. Now for the next 800kms upto 1600kms you have to keep the RPM below 7k. Since the engine has never experienced forces above 5k rpm, it will struggle slightly in the beginning but then the next phase of the breakin process begins and eventually it will get accustomed to the higher rpm range. Find an open stretch of road and open the throttle completely. Your bike should hit 100 before touching 7k rpm. Do this frequently on open roads where there is no traffic. Maintain safety at all times. Dont run at that speed for extended amounts of time. Do it during night time. Run each gear till 6-7k rpm. If you follow this you will see a drop in fuel mileage which is completely normal as you are making the engine do more work. Later on after 1600kms when the 2nd phase of the breakin is complete you can change gears at around 5k rpm. That is usually the ECO range.

I was about to reply then I saw you got your answer.

Not to say Gixxer SF is not a good bike, in fact I almost bought it but rejected just because it was "too much of a good boy". I think I mentioned that in my introduction post.

Its a good bike man. You enjoy your ride safely.

                          Regards.
