Riderz planet Black GTR Type Rear View Adjustable Mirror https://www.amazon.in/dp/B01GBGG1BS/..._e1J1xb3QQP3DR
I have changed the mirror of my gixxer sf, i have used the 1st one, it's good, it can be fitted in the fairing, just adjust the mirror accordingly so that u can see through it, mirrors are not that gr8 like the stock ones but its convenient in traffic bcoz of its small size, i got it from a local shop..

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Why didn't you go with the RE Continental GT clip-on Mod. That certainly seemed easier, just lowering the front so as to expose the frocks upwards to attach the clip-on, and cutting of the street handle bar clamps.Originally posted by debargha.kit2 View PostPosting an update
The clip ons is at works
Spares are home and the forks are being made at the lathe
Was too skeptical and finicky about the fork bolts
In kolkata it's hard to find a good value for money proposition
Will be completing the setup within coming sunday

"JUST" lowering the front of the bike which already has ground clearance issue didn't seemed a bright idea to me
No 2
Lowering means the whole frame goes down
That means more stress on the front of the frame
Because it was not meant to be in the posture
Don't want to do that
No 3
"CHOPPING " the triple tree clamp is not as easy as it sound
Moreover its irreversible
Incase you don't like anything your bound to rot with your setup
Moreover i dont want to upset the structural integrity of the triple tree clamp
No 4 plan B
Always have a plan B
IN this case the plan being if i dont like the setup ill just take the bolts out and it'll be stock again
Please go through the points
You'll realizes EASY is not always better or necessary
Peace

A clip on in a motorcycle is meant for a commited position, but if you aren't making that change in the ergonomics what is the point?Originally posted by debargha.kit2 View PostNo 1

The gixxer cup variant had a more commited triangle posture for better handling the corners, if we keep aside the rear-sets, even then the angle should bring a little more of that commitment in the posture.
(The frame can take the front biased posture as its already evident in gixxer cup)
Some Cafe racers/scramblers have forward biased foot pegs with clipons but they are a different breed,
Will that treatment work for a faired-tourer that the Gixxer sf is?

I have to ride the bike for a long time
The gixxer cup ones are meant for the race track and they are suspended after a season because with the exhaust and engine tuning and sprockets they will get "kapoot"
Rear sets seems a bit overkill to me
The thing is the rider triangle will be the same if i drop the front or not
10mm drop is not noticeable but it will scrape the underbelly
But the bike will be a front biased position
Dont want that
Would have bought a r15 or and rc200 perhaps if that was my taste
The POINT of clip ons is purely personal as i find the stocks a bit wide for my taste
And it does not go with the image of the bike
The amount of lean the setup will provide me will be more than adequate
Thats why

It's the best phrase one can describe the bike as everyone goes craze upon seeing a faired bike
Starts asking how much van it pull
I laugh sometimes at the posts sometimes when people claim 125-130
120 with a pillion
And moreover i see people just getting the bike and doing triple digits
Crusing is one thing and killing is another
Don't know if they own a racetrack or not

So in short you are attempting this mod to please your personal thirst of "how it should look" and for and the handle ergo that will suit you better.Originally posted by debargha.kit2 View PostThinking of the long run

Yes I'll do a complete guide of "HOW TO"Originally posted by Arijit Dutta View PostSo in short you are attempting this mod to please your personal thirst of "how it should look" and for and the handle ergo that will suit you better.

As i have faced the problems by myself down the line
The idea which im implementing is from a fellow xbhpian itself
Im just fine tuning it to the best of my capability
As i want something that won't be dismal for the bike and at the same time will go with the image of the bike while retaining the comfort [fingers crossed]
So want to give something back to the community
The 1 year standard warranty is over
The extended warranty consists of different parts
I will be tampering with the triple tree clamp only as i have to drill only too holes in it
So it'll void only that
For everything else I'll get warranty
For instance i raised a complaint regarding brakes and they will be replacing my master cylinder kitLast edited by debargha.kit2; 09-12-2016, 09:42 PM.

It wont be voiding anykinds of warrantyOriginally posted by presidency View PostMy sf is done 2nd service recently and still under remaining free service. So is it safe to upgrade the headlamp now. Will it damage any electricals or battery and void warranty? Am very confused
Be sure not to tell the svc about them though
And no extra loads
I have running the 55w for more than 7 months now with a dual horn setup
Runs fine

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Search "bosch 55w" on flikartOriginally posted by gnan10 View PostThats excellent. Please share the horn details along with bulb(Bosch 55w) purchase link. I am in hunt of buying them. Thanks.
A pair will cost you 400 rupees
They come in a pack of two
For the horns go to any bike spare shop and tell them to give you a 1.5ampere hero horn
Just tell them to show you hero horns
And there will be 1.5a inscribed upon it
It'll cost you just 130 rupees and ask for a splitter which will take 20
That way you don't have to cut any wire
also.
That means within 600 rupees you'll be completing a setup with a headlight as a spare
You can also plan and buy with another rider
That way you can share the price
