Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Guys who have upgrade the headlamp to 55w, do you notice the difference in the night. How does it feel now? Also can the r15 double horn be fitted to sf? Can anybody please suggest? ThanksLast edited by Aniket Kuber; 10-12-2015, 05:01 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hey guys, I'm new to the gixxer world
Just done with the first service, kept my baby under 4500 rpm max at 50kmph. After first service opened her to 6500 max @75kmph. I observed that after crossing 4500 and 65kmph there is sudden grunt and vibration kicks in. It just notify that like you crossed the limit. Is this normal?--------

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Yo,
Shout out to all the fellow XBHPians and Owners of the Blue eyed beauty that is the Gixxer SF...
I've been a silent spectator of this forum for a long time...taking in the sharing of experiences of y'all..and understanding the crux of the machine i own better..
I booked the Gixxer SF on June 2nd...Got it on the 27th...Was ready to pay full cash but the showroom guys asked if i could go for finance since they get some commission..since they said their margin on the SF is very negligible...
Anyway..Since that day, Every day with my Blue beauty has been a pleasure to live with...
Will share my experiences soon...i was so eager to check if my ID got activated, that i logged in and posting this from office...

Hey, congrats on SF!Originally posted by dhruvwali View PostHey Everyone!
I bought my first bike - Gixxer SF

Can you please tell what's your height? I wish to compare the frame to height.
Seat is 1 CM shorter, i.e. 780 mm and FZ has 790mm. That may make big difference for taller riders.Ride hard, Ride safe! :D

Looks gaudy. But then design preferences are subjective.Originally posted by Rahul Sibadkar View PostGot my helmet too from Kiran suzuki goregaon...
Congrats on new purchase.

Im 6 feet tall. I wish the handlebars were a bit higher as I need to hunch a little, however the lower seat helps reduce discomfort to a large extent.Originally posted by vaRider View PostHey, congrats on SF!

More comfortable than the Fazer for me.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I bought this aftr much thot..
I Gave up on being able to own a motorcycle since almost all of them within my budget were too small for me..Am 6'2"..80kgs..
Handle bars hit my knees..riding with a pillion meant i would have no balance and my ankles lock..
Anyways, my dream of owning a car also got postponed for a while.
And one fine day, this blue beauty cought my eye..
It was love at first sight and there was no second thot..
It was more a decision taken with heart rather than mind but then again..it's alwys been that way with me..
Since then it's been a sheer pleasure driving it around the city and the occasional weekend long ride..
I LOVE how throaty the exhaust note is and that was my only criteria..that the bike should hv a unique, uncommon exhaust note..
Some trips of up to around 200 kms but nothing major till now as work is keepin me li'l busy..
Done about 2800kms on my steed till now..
Pro's
Rapid acceleration...
Excellent fun filled performance on the 3rd nd 4th gear..
An absolute drop dead gorgeous beauty...i'm almost hating the attention now..
Tyres are super grippy and ride is super plush and vibrationless..
Excellent quality got and finish..
Super refined smooth engine..
Will add more as I keep remembering..
Con's...
Headlight is so dull it's a safety risk at nits if you are not cautious..I'm worried abt this..
Seat is really hard and hurts my "tashreef"..
Pilion comfort is vry compromised..
Lack of initial grunt at lower gears..
No clip ons..
Will keep adding more as I remember..
But all said, I found my true calling aftr years of disappointment..
Ctch y'al L8a..NEVER.....Take your eyes off the road...!!
