Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
No, Let me tell you, after you have given your ID and document at your Showroom [Which you already have while buying bike]Originally posted by [email protected]My Baby Busa, completed 1 week in this beauty,RTO not done yet, dealer told that it will take another week, didn't got any papers other than challan, dealer said that papers will be given only after RTO is done.I bought this on EMI of 1 year. Can anyone confirm whether or not the registration takes 12-14days?the dealer will give bike's papers once the RTO is done?
Vega boolean is a nice helmet,i have it,costs around 1.7k.
, and from where ever you have financed your bike , Bank or some Finance company ,your Papers will be with them, once all Instalments are over you get your RC [Registration Certificate or What you call paper of Bike]
As about your Documentation -
You only get Chalan and receipt of bike , and in 4-5 Days you can get your Insurance paper,
In 7-10 Days you get your Temporary paper which you have to take to your RTO and Submit a Duplicate of Same paper and nominal Fee for Licence Plate.
Within a Month you get your Licence plate, [In my Case here i'll get Original RC of my Bike when ever i go after 1 month to install Number plate], There might be minor change in paper work or formality , but as far i have seen all stuff is same.
IN SHORT- Sit back and Enjoy your Riding and keep calling Showroom in 5-7 Days to Know your Status and What to do.
I bought helmet too but they gave me for 2200/- Blah !!!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
@rapper it is normal apparently..to smell petrol..there will b some evaporation..I put my helmet on it few mins nd it smells petrol fumes...am not convinced it is fine either but experts hv said it is..so...i gues dat's dat..
On another note...slippers..?
Cmown dawg...
Atleast get toe sliders...
I suggest y'al watch PD review on SF..and the point sergeant makes about gear..
Not sure abt helmets but ppl, pls be aware..,normal bike cover jus will not fit the SF..u wud b wasting money..
Aftr some research i found dat only a cover that fits the RE bullets fit the SF...so dat is ur clue...i got one nd it is cool..NEVER.....Take your eyes off the road...!!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Can anyone explain the fuel indicator exactly??
When I took the bike they said they gave 1lit and its 100% fake, the Max is maybe a half litre.
And I got 300rp petrol., with calculations I had 5litres ,and it shows 2 marks on the fuel indicator., till now I only travelled for 60km and now the side fuel symbol started blinking.,and it shows only one level with side fuel symbol blinking.
According to manual the fuel symbol will blink if we had less than 3lit so my sf did consume 2lit for 60km??
Someone explain me this.Last edited by Prahasitv; 02-14-2016, 08:48 AM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Well as everyone said even I smell it.Originally posted by Rapper Deepak Arya View Posthehe okay,
Can you and anyone else reading this can confirm something.
from my fuel tank , just a little petrol smell is coming from that side Fuel tank's Cap while its completely closed , Showroom guys said its normal, but i'm worried if there is some problem with Washer or something else, When ever you drive tomorrow can you please put your nose close to fuel tank's cap and Smell if petrol smell is coming, It's not too much just a little let's say around 10 from Scale 1-100.
Please check thanks

They all don't have gsx sf cover in Stock. There is no proper parking space where I live. Suggestions regarding safety accessories would be nice. BTW thinking of getting helmet from suzuki showroom itself which have those suzuki stickering. Kindly suggest any good helmet under 3k. Thanks in advance!!!
The Suzuki stickered helmet is just a Studds (is it shifter? not sure) with the livery. I got my self a Vega Axor with DOT and ISI certification both for 2.6k.
Its a nice helmet with vents, extremely comfortable, sturdy and nicely built. The padding is removable and washable. It has a breath deflector, though just a single visor.
I got the mercurized visor and have to look for the clear one as the headlight is just not enough at night. Need to upgrade that too.
I've handled the Suzuki livery helmet and the part that covers your chin is quite thin, won't recommend such a helmet.

Yesterday it rained a bit and i went to some rural area , and guess what when i returned home , all back side , along with our Shocker , all was covered in Mud, I cleaned all up and went to Some local Mechanic shop, and asked if they can fix that full mud guard around back wheel , just like in discover , fazer and pulsar, he told me they need to do welding and do some Modification, i was like WTH welding on my new babe, Nah !!, then other mechanic came and said "Shocker will not get spoiled or damage with mud, shocke rod is way up "
I wish suzuki have also given a long mud guard at back wheel, also my pillion rider's jeans got some mud splash -_-
Can't imagine During rainy Season

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Sorry but what i think that slot there is not meant for light holders but they are the air vents as gixxer sf is an air cooled bike..Originally posted by Rapper Deepak Arya View PostThanks Mate,

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
It's too bad for the pillion during rainy season. I have taken yamaha Frazer rear tyre hugger and fixed it to my bike by placing it between existing screen holes.. with out any welding or new holes to the chassis which may damage it.Originally posted by Rapper Deepak Arya View PostThanks Mate,
