Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
its not written that the figures given in the manual are exact. but yeah if your bike is new, it will give poor mileage. my performance got better after doing around 500km.Originally posted by Prahasitv View PostYes I've read it but I still have the doubt.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Thanks lol!!! Deepak.I'm so confused and this is going to be my first 2 Wheeler. Never get a chance to ride any Suzuki bikes. What about the spare parts availability? I think the Suzuki company didn't announced any power figures of fi version. Should I wait for 2 months for sf fi. what u think?Originally posted by Rapper Deepak Arya View PostWell 3 Point you should consider before making any decision
1. Fi is getting Fuel Injection means better mileage and better Performance [Just a bit, not much difference]
2. Fi have Rear Disc Break , which is Cool, but again it's gona be 5-10 K More than normal Blue Moto GP
3. It will be in showroom after this financial year ends, lets say minimum 2 Months , max depend on market launch.
4. FI have different Graphics
Other wise both SF and FI are 99.99% same in all aspect, Choice is your's .
Cheers !!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Ofcourse dude, if you can wait for 2 Months ie ( end of April ) we might come to knew the actual price of FI, and also if you can invest 5-7K More , then definately go for Fi, and about the spare part availablility , depend on how active your Showroom is, Suzuki didin't had awesome bike like Gixxer in past that can be used for daily routine, so Spare part availablility problem may occur, but if you live in a metropolis / big city don't even bother about that.Originally posted by Jithu Jarvis View PostThanks lol!!! I'm thinking to carry a bottle of Castrol Engine Oil for my Free servicing, as they definately gona charge for their own Engine oil , which really is Sh***y [Local or Cheap brand Engine Oil, Only Labour charge gona be free, Planning to use only Castrol Oil for Engine,
Suggest something better or help with this idea.

Well there is not a much difference between the rear disk break and the rear drum break. The sf's drum break have quite a good bite to it. Also the FI makes little sense as this is a 150cc bike, an FI is just a accessory. Our bike does not produce that much amount of power that there may be fuel supply shortage due to the carburetor. The carburetor does a good enough job an a 150cc bike. You need to understand that the FI motor is always way to expensive. Also it has to be always immersed in petrol or it fuses off, that means it increases the amount of residual petrol in the bike. I dont get it why people opt for a FI in such low cubic capacity bikes.Originally posted by Rapper Deepak Arya View PostOfcourse dude, if you can wait for 2 Months ie ( end of April ) we might come to knew the actual price of FI, and also if you can invest 5-7K More , then definately go for Fi, and about the spare part availablility , depend on how active your Showroom is, Suzuki didin't had awesome bike like Gixxer in past that can be used for daily routine, so Spare part availablility problem may occur, but if you live in a metropolis / big city don't even bother about that.

As for the castrol oil I'd say NO. The SVC's use motul or indemitsu 15W50 semi-synthetic oil which is good enough for our bike and is way better than castrol.

Veedol Super Swift 10w40Originally posted by Rapper Deepak Arya View PostSadly none of above Oil Available in my City, Blah, they gona be using, Veedol, Max , Castrol , Phew dono wth m gona do
Veedol Takeoff4T plus 10w30
Refer manual for correct grade and pick from these two. These above oils make motul , shell etc look like crap.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Don't worry about parts, Suzuki is Very Trusted brank in Bike, and won't be creating much problem , unless you follow the step to take care of your bike , or drive Rashly ,Originally posted by Jithu Jarvis View PostBut sad to hear that spare parts availability is low.
Even if you want the spare parts, you can go for easy way that we all indian do " take your anger up and shove in their A** up " then ask what part do you need.
Waiting for FI is worth but again if it launches too late you gona get mad
.
My dad's first bike also was SUZUKI [ Samurai ] 16 years back and mine first bike too is SUZUKI SF

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Yahh !!!! You are well said. Suzuki is well known company in the world but its popularity is bit low in India. One of my mechanic friend said Suzuki bikes have very low resale value even though it is equipped with high lasting and problem free engine. I found a lot of sf adds in olx majority of bikes just completed the run in period only( new bikes which completed 1 or 2 services). I don't know why people are letting it go before its engine get set for proper mileage and power. I just responded to 2,3 adds and the owners are ready to give the bike for even 70 k.( which nearly completed 2k,within 5k kms)..........Originally posted by Rapper Deepak Arya View PostDon't worry about parts, Suzuki is Very Trusted brank in Bike, and won't be creating much problem , unless you follow the step to take care of your bike , or drive Rashly ,

Opt one of belowOriginally posted by de.das.dude View Postanyone know where i can get the handle bar ends. Some f*cking vandal took the right one off of mine it seems.
1. Go to Showroom ask if they have spare
2. Visit Local good spare part seller or bike modification they can use some thing to fix there
3. Find a Parked bike and take off pair of those, [Might be risky lol]
4. There is a Material Black Hard Sponge , if you can get you hands on them, use them to twist inside both end holes, dono where to get that, but you may find some alternative material. We have What's App Group for Suzuki Gixxer, so Much can be shared there and problem can be responded ASAP.
