Are you sure about the average, mileage could have dropped but from 50 to 30, Please confirm this again and if the problem still persists get the carb retuned from a diff svc. Regarding chain making noise, it will make noise as its open. Every bike with open chain makes some noise.

        Cheers,

          Hi everyone...

I'm new to this forum. I've got my first bike, Suzuki Gixxer SF, MOTO GP edition. Purchased this from Arunachal Motors, Authorised Suzuki dealer in Madurai on 31.08.2015. Booked this bike on 29.07.2015 by paying 5k. I was constantly calling them throughout my waiting period, so they delivered me this early(?). It wasn't a pleasant experience anyway. These fellows said they'll deliver bike only if i pay by full cash. If not they said me to take bike after a week. So without having a second choice I got my bike in full cash. These fellows charged me (May be a 2000) for Compulsory extra accessories but nothing was that worth. All cheap accessories(I remember seeing in Suzuki website that the side stand and rear view mirrors come as a part of bike). That's waste of money. I personally installed Roots Horn- Spider Eco Deep Blue from a local dealer.

After a week the bike was taken for registration purpose to the showroom. Showroom fellows took the bike to RTO, Madurai South and handed over the bike in the evening. On the way back home, a fresh sound started coming from back side of the bike. It was minimal and couldn't find the source of sound. The next morning found a brand new screw driver(without its handle) in the rear tyre. It was well placed inside the rear tyre. Removed the screw driver and got the puncture fixed, which didn't stand for a day. Then again I fixed the puncture. In the mean time this was informed to the ahowrrom guys and they replied that they cant be responsible for this as they had handed over the bike back to me. They even said that the insurance(IFFKO-TOKYO) can't be claimed for tyre. I forwarded my issue to Suxuki Motorcycle India with pictures, through their facebook page. They said their representative will be calling me through phone for which they had asked my contact number, which never happened. Brought bike to Chennai as I reside temporarily in Chennai. Did my first free service in ABT Two Wheelers Pvt ltd, Nandanam, Chennai. It could be the worst service anyone can ever get. I could literally feel that the bike was not water washed. I appealed that to a supervisor there, he said me that bike was taken for a test ride and so dirt has stuck in the vehicle, as if I'm a dumb to believe this lame reason. There were no complaints as such with the bike. But this showroom is not a good place for your free services. Believe me, you can do a better cleaning in your house yourself.

Now the second puncture worked for 10 days. After that air is leaking slowly. I took the bike to MRF Showroom in Okkiyampet, OMR to find a solution. They inspected the tyre and said that I can put a tube into my tubeless tyre. Also I was said that tubes are not available for size 140. It's available only for size 120 and this costs around Rs.400 with free fitting charges. New 140/60 R17 MRF revz tyre costs Rs.2800+ in Snapdeal.

Now should I replace my stock tyre or will putting a tube of size 120 be a good option? Can I get opinions from fellow users? (Temporarily filling air daily in rear tyre for past 3 days)

My odometer had clocked at 1000+ till now. Planning for a long ride in a couple of weeks, So consider this as urgent and do give your inputs. I'm just a beginner to bike world.

Forget to include this... Rear RIM was having a little damage which was caused by the contact of screw driver and the RIM (Before I found the screw driver in the tyre)..

Yes I m pretty sure ,, I'm doing mileage testing again and will post the result soon , my bike used to make tick tick sound and SVC guys told me that its DCOM sound and can't be fixed plus its loose tappets and will adjust itself after some . after the first service tick tick vanished but this new noise came out . I don't think its the chain that causing this problem as bike making this noise even when standing still

Congratulations... The default setting for mono-shock is good... will suggest you use it as it is.. also they don't provide the tool for adjusting the same as for changing the same you have to go SVC every time...

                      Hi all,

I have completed 755kms on my Gixxer SF. i will taking it for first service on coming monday.

Currently it is giving me 48kmpl mileage.

does anyone have any idea on check list to ask the service person at suzuki apart from whats provided on the service book. what would be approx cost for first servicing.

Another question between the free services there is a gap of 2500km. isn't it good to change the engine oil every 1500km?

They will do everything happily except valve clearance check as this is time and effort consuming thing , ,, They have good no. Of excuses not to do this . Many people change engine oil every 400km while initial break in
