Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
IMO, best mileage calculate technique is , Fill it to the brim, Drive 100 kms and top it to the brim. Note down the topped-up amount of petrol and just divide 100 with that amount...you get your mileageOriginally posted by venkyyuvan View PostGuys what's reserve tank capacity and best mileage checking technique??R15S - Current

Oh k .. You said right now under hard braking the rear wheel locks .. I have experienced the same with r15 as well.. Actually I did not notice a significant difference in the r15 rear disc vs the gixxer drum .. On top of that gixxer front brake has more initial bite than that of r15 front ..Originally posted by dhruvwali View PostSignificant difference, imagine 70% of the front disc brake performance in the read brake.
FYI right now I measure the rear brake performance as 20% of front brake, so in any case a 250% improvement over current(Mathematically [emoji14])
Even I will test ride before thinking about it,
Right now under hard braking the rear tyre always locks.

Not an issue anymore, atleast not in metros.

Bro there is significant difference between a drum brake vs disc brake @ rear wheel.Originally posted by Aniket Kuber View PostOh k .. You said right now under hard braking the rear wheel locks .. For your clarification disc brake are more sensitive than a drum brake. Bite is very good in drum brake.
You will realise the value of disc brake at a incidental situation. Advance technology is always par ahead of old age technologyIts not the Bike that makes a Biker perfect, its a Biker who makes his Bike perfect :)

Please take up this case with insurance company for claim, RIM crack is happened because of impact which is not considered as a manufacturing defect & the same cannot be considered under warranty.
*
You can contact me on below number for further clarification.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
I called this guy and he said that its not a manufacturing defect and happened because of external impact. Also informed me that RIM tyre and battery does not come under warranty as its not manufactured by Suzuki. He also did not have any answer when I asked how to check manufacturing defect in the RIM.
Need your suggestions on this guys? What should I do??

Now that you do not have the option to opt for the warranty, you will have to file the insurance.Originally posted by sagar.sutar View PostI called this guy and he said that its not a manufacturing defect and happened because of external impact. I dont think you need to worry much about it though because the insurance that you might have got with the bike is a 0 dep. insurance.
So you wont have to pay anything (which is a hoax and other way to say that youll have to pay a minimal amount). So before you get your bike repaired call the insurance company (number will be mentioned on the insurance copy) and call him over hell give you a form to fill in and only then put your bike in for repairs NOTE BEFORE THAT as it leads to unwanted headaches later as sometimes even the insurance company pull their hands out of it saying its not our look out.
I dont mean to scare you but make sure you contact the insurance personal before you put the bike for repair.
all the best on your bikes repairs.

Hi guys,
I wanted to ask if anyone has recently traveled NH 848 (bhiwandi-nasik) highway, and how is its condition.
I'm planning a trip to Jawhar, and im confused if i should take the Kasara ghat route (NH3) or the Bhiwandi-Nasik (NH 848) route.
any help or suggestions will be appreciated.Last edited by Pelasgain; 09-23-2015, 01:01 PM.

Friends!
Finally got a call from Suzuki Showroom that my bike is arrived and I can take delivery tomorrow. I booked my MotoGp Gixxer SF at 12/09/2015. I am feeling very lucky that they are delivering my bike in less than 12 days. Very excited.
