You can upgrade the drum to discs but honestly it is not worth it. A friend of mine got his hero honda something upgraded to rear discs. It was a total sham and a waste of money. I would recommend properly maintained drums brakes any day instead of an upgrade.

Additional - the mfg company designs the bikes brakes based on the peformance parameters and if your bike has a drum maintain it well and it would never let you down. Trust me, the company knows your bike best.

What steps you guys taking about no changing drum to rear is easy and if manufacturer has a disc version it's easier, see here in this picture you can clearly see that the rear disc brake piston is supported by a steel caliber supportor Ofc suzuki won't change the frame for adding the disc brakes, I'm sure this is possible but yes its gonna be costly.

It can be done, if you want OEM rear disc brake system, you will need a new swing-arm with caliper support bracket, a new bracket itself, new alloys, disc, master cylinder unit, footrest panel which includes mounts for the disc set-up and many other things and these all will make a big hole in the pocket.
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Yes it is true this is costly and not affordable at all unless the company is willing doing it we might get some money for the alloy Wheel we sell, I'll do this if costs less than 7 to 8k and the parts you mention sounds no where inside the budget of 10k

Everyone who's buying sf should wait for new sf if they could.
