Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
There are very few things thats covered in electrical parts and they have a 1 year warranty.Originally posted by harshith k View PostDo u know for how many kilometers or years electrical warranty lasts thanx in advance
Make note if you have purchased a extended warranty it covers only your engines
That too if you do all the 9 services including 4 free 4 paid and a bonus and run on stock oil.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hello Everyone I'm completely new here.,
I'm gonna buy this bike in Feb mostly around 2nd week of Feb.I have some questions and need some suggestions.,
I'm from Vizag,AP
Firstly I'm buying this bike for only two reasons first one is looks and second one is mileage.,here it costs me around 1.05lakh for this bike on road.
I had a confusion whether to go for this or r15 or FZ but I'm pretty sure I'll go for this.,as the mileage of them is not good as this.
I will buy the black color,to be honest I didn't like Moto GP edition because I like anything to be simple so I'll buy the black one.
As I'm willing to buy it in Feb.,one of the post here said there will be a rear disc coming in Feb can anyone suggest when is it coming?
I'm 6 feet will there be any problems driving this bike?
Is it comfortable to do 100km journey?
And I might go to Hyd or Chennai after this June so I think SF is good.
I've few more questions.,I'll ask them a week before buying the bike.
ThankyouLast edited by Prahasitv; 01-19-2016, 02:22 PM.

You can ask your area service manager if they have a news by saying you have made an advance and came to know that a dual disc version is approaching and is it true? If yes he can give you the satisfactory answers
As svcs will more or less give you "yes sir it Will launch soon"

I checked with the mechanic in the service section and he confirmed once read disc is available, you can order it and replace your drum brake.
Seems there will be a long waiting period for the parts to arrive and to be fitted.
Can anyone confirm this?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Sadly, not the clip-ons bruv. I got the stock ones. The SVC will charge you for the littlest of things, but that's fair. Fitting charges were Rs. 85Originally posted by Devilsfdey View PostWhich handle bar cost u is this clip on bars, if yes does SVC guys charge u service cost
I see the possibility of an SVC doing clip-ons to be as good as none. First of all the after-market clip-ons (that actually fit into gixxer without any drama) have not yet been made available. Then the handle bar clamp will have to be chopped off, I wonder wouldnt suzi have problems liquidating their own design. the ground clearance will get even lesser .
But the possibility to have true clip-ons is 100% on our bike. So its just a matter of time that one will see a succesful mod, a perfect oneLast edited by shailendra.k; 01-19-2016, 11:26 AM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Motorcycle air cooled engines are supposed to run hot. When i got my bike, it was ~17km away and my bro was riding while i was pillion(since i didnt know how to ride :P ).
After giving puja i washed the sindoor off and water steamed off the engine instantly. So no worries about the performance. They say to keep it below 5K RPM for first service but its ok if it goes over once or twice. Just remember, always start and idle for 1min before riding off. Most people dont and complain later that performance is bad.
I did this, and also the bike felt very slow, like it doesnt like revving. But after first service yesterday, its like butter. The gear shift, to throttle, everything is butter.
Can we install a footrest so that the pillion gets some help in getting on/off the bike?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Hey can anyone help me with the lights on sf? The headlight fog lights and the rear number plate light, I want all of them in white and stock headlight is too low if street lights are off I can't see a damn thing at night, I was thinking if someone here have done the work already, any suggestions what should I buy which would be easy to install?
