Which Oil do you recommend? My 2nd service is due in a week.

Also if you could elaborate on the difference observed, price and best source for the oil, that'd be great!

I have used shell ultra 10w40 FS. Smooth gear shifts and the bike revs freely.

Have not used motul FS, but it could be similar.

I recommend changing to FS after 4000km atleast.

That's great, I am just over 3k kms. So I am probably getting the "Shell Advance AX7 550031394 10W-40 Synthetic Technology"

I have booked my white GSF today Taking delivery on Jan 20th.

Congratulations Gobinath.
The last time I checked, Suzuki offered the option of paying more to have stickers affixed to the White Gixxer SF, bring the cost on level with that of the MotoGP version.
Were you offered this option?

Done 5k km .. Planning to shift the same oil but I am confused with the motul 300v which again has good reviews ..

AX7 is semi, similar to the one used by SVC. There won't be any difference in using this oil.

If you have recently changed the oil, wait for another 500~1000km and shift to ultra.

Thanks rapperswil. There is 2 suzuki showrooms in my location and none of them provide stickers for white/black SFs.

Any one from/around Coimbatore? Is there any good sticker shop you can suggest?

I have a simple sticker design in mind which I'm posting for your reference. I just want this done precise and exact color.

I have upgraded headlight, now using OSRAM NIGHT RACER PLUS 35w. Good throw than stock headlights.

Abhilash, can you please post a pic of the headlight throw at night?

Thing is, the manual states that the headlamp is supposed to be a 35W unit (HS1). If the Osram bulb provides good enough light, I wouldn't need to use a higher wattage bulb.

People using those Philips 55W bulbs, I would really appreciate your input here as well. Would it harm my bike if I used these H4 bulbs for a prolonged period?

Congratulations, bro!

Your speed doesn't matter, your bike's RPM does. Don't let the engine rev over 4500 and you should be good.

Fortunately, the RPM light on the console is preconfigured to light up when that happens on all new bikes. If you reach 4500RPM, simply shift a gear up! [emoji4]

On the 5th gear, at 4500RPM, you'd be around 60-65KM/hr. Don't think too much, just don't over-rev the engine and you'll be fine.

The stickering you suggest looks nice and understated. However, this seems the official Suzuki stickering for the white SF model.
Please see attachments. I went to 9 STAR suzuki on Hosur Road, Bangalore and I was quoted the same price for the White SF as the MotoGP edition, but with stickers.
Do ask your Suzuki dealer. I wonder what the stickered Black Gixxer SF looks like. Suzuki's marketing seems lackadaisical.

In my gixxer sf there are two holes in reflector on either sides on the top of the headlamp. did any one installed or know how to install LEDs on it, like in pulsurs.

I had not asked that, but thanks these are fabulous, in the above video he installed hid lamp which cost him 1400 for both.

I also got that idea, but decor shop guys said they don't have any thing to fix on the cavitys on side of the head light.

Hello people,

Newbie here. Well, I have been closely following this thread. And subsequently have booked a Gixxer SF as my birthday gift. Will be getting it on the 24th this month.
Would like you all to share your experiences and knowledge to improve the way we can maintain the Gixxer SF.
As a sane rider, I would not like to tingle around with my bike's performance. But i can go ahead with improving the looks and aesthetics of my bikw.

My first question is: 2 days ago I went to check my SF for a PDI. The dealer didn't allow a Test ride. But yes, I checked everything else about it. Everything was fine until I touched the engine and it was insanely hot. When enquired, the mechanic said the rider has brought it from Thane workshop ( approx 45-50 kms). So is it a worrying sign that before even laying my hands on it, the performance will be affected?

One question, what tool should i use to loosen/tighten the headlamp screw. The normal tool given with bike doesnt work.
