  • Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread

    H friends,

I am currently having pulsar 150 UG 4.5 and i am having issues with this bike while commuting. It does not absorb potholes and bumpy roads very easily and it gives me back ache while riding it. After looking through SF reviews, i looked at its positive sides. Will it be suitable for me to ride in chennai's roads?

Shell because its know for quality. I use V power, though it is a lot costly then a normal petrol there is a lot of people who come to fill up petrol there instead of the very nearby BP and HP pumps. I found a reply to one of the customer emails from Shell as follows:
        Dear customer,

Thank you for showing interest in our shell products.
Dear customer please find the below details regarding your query
        "
        A. Shell V-Power is formulated using a range of fuel parameters and additive options, one of which is octane number. The octane number varies from country to country, according to local fuel specifications. In India, the octane number of V-Power is 91

        B.
        A. A. The octane level of petrol is often considered to be a quality index that enables the customer to distinguish between petrol grades e.g. between Premium and Regular grades.

        B. Many customers believe that a higher octane level equals higher performance and therefore higher quality. This is not always the case.

        C. Shell V-Power contains a powerful detergency formulation designed to actively clean up the engine from (and prevent the formation of) power robbing deposits. This helps the engine to run under optimal conditions and deliver its performance potential.

For any further query kindly reply on this mail.

Regarding tyre pressure. I had one puncture recently and as far as i know i have only checked and filled nitrogen thrice in the past two months and half, including that puncture.

simply because it is one of the best for your bike, be it the engine oils or the fuel, it's way too good . . .

If you fill nitrogen, you don't need to be filling it as often as you would with normal air as the air doesn't leak out that easily and also is better if you are planning for long trips, cools your tires from the inside. . .

          Cheers!!!

Have booked the Gixxer blue colour.

Decided against SF because my office (Tidel Park) parking is cramped and horrible. Surely fairing will get scratched within a few weeks. And parking on roads etc seems to be risky. Hence, ended up booking the naked version.

Spec wise both gixxer and sf are almost same. Just cosmetic changes. If you think maintaining the fairing well be a pita go with the naked version. But why don't you test drive the bike first. Have you considered any other bike? You should post in the help section with all your requirements. That should get you better answers.

Hi friends! Myself Chinta manee Jaipuri from a remote village of Chattisgarh. I was a silent reader of this awesome forum. After riding my 2006 model Platina for almost a decade.. I thought its a time to upgrade to a better bike. After a lot of research i finalized lovely Gixxer SF Special MotoGp Edition. Today I visited my Nearest Suzuki Showroom which is 130km from my home . After a test ride I felt like love at first sight. Booked the Babybusa on the spot. They promised me to deliver my Bike within 7 days. This 7 days will feel like 7 years to me. I waited almost 8 years for my promotion to gift me my first sports bike. I am feeling very excited.
