Why is there such a long waiting period even now?
Yep there is a long wait. I also have been informed by Kiran Suzuki, a waiting period of 30 days (initially 45 days!!). They said that the bike transport via trucks is stalled due to some Kumbh Mela. Unbearable wait :/

Funny... their plant is at Gurgaon... why are they coming to Mumbai via Nasik (where kumbh mela is held)...Originally posted by shailendra.k View PostYep there is a long wait. Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Lucky U.... When I booked in May, was told a waiting period of 60 days [emoji15] , but got delivery by 40 days or so. 30 Is a development I would say. Hopefully they can deliver before the 30 days to u.Originally posted by benryu View Postkannanmr16 there was apparently a price hike in august. Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Yeah Nasik is what he said. I have no idea as to why they would rather prefer to stall the deliveries than to re-route their transport.Originally posted by sagar.sutar View PostFunny... their plant is at Gurgaon... why are they coming to Mumbai via Nasik (where kumbh mela is held)...

probably their lot is stuck at Nasik and hence....
Anyway, how long did you have to wait for your bike to come, post payment?

Gixxer brakes - 7/10 front. 4/10 rear.Originally posted by akash22 View Postcould you rate them out of 10 and i am damn confused between as200 and gixxer sf my heart goes for gixxer sf and mind goes for as200 total vfm....?need some help
-- Was in the same issue. AS200 vs Gixxer SF
Now after 3000kms I miss the lack of power that AS200 provides. Also its brakes are far superior.
However Gixxer has superioir fit and finish, butter smooth engine, super refined and rev happy mechanicals. Better mileage, better after sales support. And better looks. (Subjective).
I took 5 test rides of both back to back before coming to this conclusion.
I needed a bike asap and the Gixxer had a waiting of 10 days whereas the AS200 was available right the next day. However the handling and stress free riding in city for Gixxer SF sealed the deal.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread
Its about 8 good things in SF against 2 good things in AS... even i was confused... but then went with SF as it is best terms of handling, build quality and ENGINE... its of top quality... whereas AS is Jack of all, Master of none...Originally posted by akash22 View Postcould you rate them out of 10 and i am damn confused between as200 and gixxer sf my heart goes for gixxer sf and mind goes for as200 total vfm....?need some help
