I've never tried another gixxer, but I think mine isn't pulling well enough. And has kinda slow throttle response. The SVC guys had opened the carburetor once, and adjusted the float height because it was leaking fuel through the overflow pipe(on my third day with the bike). I think that could be it, or is it normal (the throttle response?
PS. Haven't done the first service yet

Mine feels sluggish too. I've ridden two test vehicles for comparison and my bike just doesn't match their performance. The engine takes forever to rev, and the torque seems lacking in the first two gears (though it is getting better with time).

I noticed the front wheel getting some resistance from the brakes, and that might be one of the causes. Let's wait for the first service to see how things go.

Just wanted to remind if not already known to you. Pls check the air filter path under the seat. It should not be blocked by documents/covers etc. Some people had this issue and found out the airway was blocked.

So for the third time I gave my bike to Meghdoot Suzuki, Hennur Road, Bangalore to fix the hard gears/gear downshift problem and to fix the weak front and back brake issues.

Went to pick up the bike in the evening and after a short trial the issues seemed to be better. Didn't have much time so didn't do an extensive test. While making the exit formalities noticed a HUGE crack on the right front fairing! As though someone had hit it with a hammer or the bike had fallen sideways.

Showed it to SVC head and he denied responsibility saying it was like this when I came in with the bike.

Asked him why he didn't report it in the SVC sheet while taking the bike if this crack was there in the beginning to which he didn't have an answer. HE kept on saying that there are cameras around and if it had fallen it would've been captured in it. I countered by saying that I gave a scratches bike and you are returning me with a cracked one.

Finally threatened to write a mail to Suzuki if they dont fix it and they finally gave way. Said no parts are available, so I told them to get the bike fixed by Tuesday latest, else I'll talk to Suzuki myself.

Guys, be very careful while giving bikes to SVC. They'll try to pass off any damage as your fault.

Have left the bike with them at the SVC itself. Lets see if there are any further complications.

FYI the price of the right side fairing(where the UKI snickering is done) is for Rs700.
Have you taken any pictures of the broken fairing?

Two days and 50 kms of ride done. Really pleased with my bike. And to top it up, all those onlookers when you ride it on the road
