Booked at Aryan Suzuki, Whitefield. That time I checked at lots of dealers, and best quote was 40 days by Aryan Suzuki, Domlur. So I went ahead with their Whitefield showroom where they said they will probably get it in 40 itself. Also, I stay at Whitefield, so thought of going with the closer dealership

Guys have called suzuki svc and shot a mail to suzuki India website
They have told me that they have beefed the production line and building sf s just like gixxers volume
My svc told me it would take a week to get the bike as i have denied the bike a week earlier
That means 15 days after the last shipment came
Thats a timeline i can live with
Though i have burned more than 40 days with my very good of a luck
And those who are quoted a very hefty waiting period by the svc call them nuts
They have the option to prioritize your delivery but they choose not to because it would shorten their profit margin
Thats why they bring large volumes
As for me they will bring 3 sf s because i have rejected a delivery in the first place and two other guys will get it as they have waited more than a month like me but were unable to come

Just went on a Weekend trip to Nandi Hills, Bangalore

My Bike has done 1500kms in 40 days.

The bike was VERY stable at 80-90Kmph, didnt deviate from its line at all.

Headwinds are managed very well, side winds affect it more like any full faired bike, but still maintains its composure.

Did a top whack of 125kmph in about 30-40 seconds from standstill.

100 came up around 15-16 seconds.

Engine seemed strained at 100kmph, it does 80-90 effortlessly. Can do it all day without issues.

Uphill riding was a breeze, steep inclines were tackled well on 2nd gear.

Got an average of about 50-52kmpl in the 150km round trip.

Currently getting 43-45kmpl in bangalore city conditions. (70% city, 30% highway)

Engine doesnt get heated up and has gotten much smoother as I've ridden it.

        Cons -

        1. Braking has degraded significantly. The front and rear brake play has increased a lot and varies too. Have taken the bike with this issue to the SVC 3 times already. Everytime they say they've fixed it. Everytime the same problems occurs. Now they've said they'll talk to Suzuki HO to take up this issue. If it doesnt get fixed in the coming week I'll write to Suzuki directly.

        2. Gearbox isnt smooth while downshifting. I have to let go of clutch and depress cluth again to shift multiple gears under hard braking. No fix yet, following it up with SVC.

        3. Low GC

have you ridden the bike in the night...? how is the visibility of headlight at night...? is it poor or manageable..? do we need to replace the bulb with 55/60 watts?

Bulb intensity is OK for city use. However would recommend you upgrade to 55/60w bulb. Did it myself after a week of owning the bike. No issues whatsoever, even asked 3 different SVC managers/technicians - doesnt void warranty.

However the headlight alignment was seriosuly screwed up in my bike, so had to get that fixed in SVC. Took 10 minutes, now there is no illumination problem, city or highway.

3 dealers in Bangalore told me that it wont. In any case it is plug and play, so they cant even detect it if there is an issue.
Worst case replace the bulb with stock when you give for service.(Though I've given several times without cahnge and noone notices or gives problem)

Hey guys! It's my first post here on xBhp, so you can read about me here: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/who-you/...bangalore.html

I just booked my SF and it should reach me soon enough! I was torn between the Blue and the Black, but chose to go with the blue after some deliberation.

I've picked up some inexpensive upper-body riding gear, and await the availability of good knee-guards. Also on the wishlist are DSLR-friendly tank bag, tailbag/saddlebags, maintenance tools, lighting rigs, brake pads etc.

I'm yet to get a glimpse of my bike, and plan on running it through Sagar's checklist before okaying it for registration. And I've counting on my trusty old mechanic to fix things that the SVC guys can't.

P.S. dhruvwali, what a small world it is! We met at Let's Gear Up!

I started with two visits to Saptagiri Suzuki in Rajajinagar, which included a test ride on the Gixxer with a person from the sales team as the pillion. I'm not sure what made me look for alternatives to the showroom, but I came across a few negative reviews on searching around. And since I had already planned a visit to Vijayanagar today, I thought of giving Avanish Suzuki a try. The two showrooms couldn't be more different in the way they are run. I was pleased with the customer-friendly nature of the staff, and couldn't fault them on anything.

I opted for full cash payment, and have been promised to get the bike delivered to me tomorrow, albeit, with a temporary license plate.
