I Booked my SF on 23rd May.... and i got a call from them a week back.... now waiting for the registration to be done and i can show off in a couple of days..

Hey im awaiting my blue gixxer sf which will be delivered in a few days...
im a rookie about Bike Knowledge could u please explain what is Idle RPM ?

Idle RPM is the speed of the engine flywheel when the engine is without any load (i.e. In Neutral) and the throttle is closed. For Gixxer, it should be between 1100-1500.

Firstly: a very big congratulations!!! 21 days for a SF in Mumbai is an achievement! I'm waiting for the past 66 days....
I live in Malad and i didn't know there was one SVC in Kandivali!
While i was bike hunting this SVC wasn't listed on the Suzuki Website(although it is there now), and me also being impatient didn't check further and went to Dolphin Suzuki instead.
Is this a new SVC or has been there before?
And yes! Pics are awaited!

I'm so damn sorry for not posting the pics. But I promise I'll do it TODAY itself.
I'm so busy riding it around that I still haven't clicked a single pic.

And to tell u a fact in mumbai proper, I visited 3 SVC's before booking the bike.

I didn't book the bike from Dolphin or Kiran suzuki because they did not seem interested in selling the product.

This guy at Kaveri actually made me buy the bike (even thought i was going to buy it anyways).

And as far as the pics are concerned, ill see u back after lunch time .

Hey, have any of you guys had problems starting your bike with the choke ON. Doesn't have any problems with it OFF, even when cold. I think its an air-fuel ratio problem.
Also, I haven't tried any other gixxers, but I think mine isn't pulling well enough on the low end. Any help!

Check the tip of the spark plug if its dark brown in color that means the mixture you are running is rich.
Take it to your SVC for adjusting the CO settings.

Well.. as I said... i was confused between RS200 and Gixxer SF... i was also considering other options such as Duke 200, Duke 390, CBR250R, AS200 etc...

I had karizma before so i need more power hence i was not going for Gixxer SF... But handling and the engine took me to Gixxer... CBR250 production has been stopped so spare parts availability may cause issues later... Duke 390 and 200 are not sports tourer which is my essential need... and AS200/RS200 was then out of question when i read the below article...

So Gixxer was the only option left even though it's less powerful.. it's a comfortable tourer and excellent city commuter... I'm planning to use it for 1-2 year and then will wait for Gixxer 250


So booked both RS and SF at the same time since both had 60 days waiting ... but gixxer sf arrived withing 15 days to my surprise... so hopefully i'll get it withing a week after registration.

Dude you haven't mentioned the name and location of dealer and color you choose.....

Did you chased them for earliest delivery or they it self given you the SF?? Also can you provide me the name and contact no of sales guy to whom with you done the deal....
