But will do a bit better( except the vibration and mileage part)
But ask yourself do you want to spend a 50k extra for "a bit better "?
I think that will sum it up

Thanks Man, would you have any idea on whether single channel ABS be effective in real scenario ? will the rear tyre still lock up and skid in single channel ABS of RS ?

Yes, the RS has ABS only for the Front Wheel. The rear wheel has a sensor but that isn't routed to the rear brake. It's just there to prevent a stoppie-like situation which may occur if the front wheel slows down way quicker than the rear wheel. This is what I've read somewhere on xBhp, I guess it was the RS ownership thread.
But then, something will always be better than nothing, so think about the ABS option. Atleast you'll have hope (if not complete surety) that the front-wheel won't lock-up in a panic braking situation. Just remember that it all depends on you. How confident you are, what your budget is. If you feel you have a good control over the bike, you can go for the Non-ABS as well. But regardless of whether you get the ABS or Non-ABS model, it's always good to practice breaking to learn more about when your tyres tend to lock-up and how much you should jam down on those brakes in an emergency. Just don't rely on the technology because you have it, try to keep up to your part too, because machines do fail at times, and when that happens, it's only based on how you exercise the little control you have left, the rest is in God's hands. Choose wisely bro.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer SF : Ownership thread

As far as ABS is concerned i think it will lock up
Unlike the cbr 250 abs which i think comes with abs on both wheels and Hondas much touted CBS combined braking system regardless of disc or drum
It is now a default for all the new honda products where both the wheel will stop in the same pace decreasing the the change of skidding
One thing for sure if you adapt the right braking technique and can apply the rear and front brake harmonious to each other no matter its a disc drum brake of sf or single channel abs of rs you won't find yourself in trouble
Even the single channel abs is a boon
So just explore your bike and develop the right skill and say hell to satan
            Happy and safe riding

              Hi Guys..

I am planing to buy GIXXER SF from Dolphin Suzuki sakinaka Mumbai, is anyone is here who already brought their dream machine SF from this dealer in mumbai, The dealer told me they had the two months waiting period for the SF ( Moto GP edition ), I ask them for test drive, but they have told me that they don't had the demo SF for test drive, you have done the test drive with naked GIXXER, dealer mention on road price for SF is Rs.100500/- Is this on road amount is ok ? Also he ask for the 10k as a down payment as booking amount which i think is ok. So once SF lands at his end will do the PDI & make full payment,

Actually currently i am using Hero Honda Passion pro from past 6 yrs with all down gear setup & the Gixxer had the one down & four Up gear setup, So i am currently confused as will i am able to adopt this new gear shifting easily, As i never ride any bike with this gear combination any helpful tips for it is highly appreciated ......

For the waiting period i think its just
Because suzuki is running short of sf s due to high demand and specially the moto gp edition
For the black white version i was given a due timeline of 1 month and 98 k and for moto go edition 2 months and 1 lakh 2k
Now the given price on Suzuki's site is 98266 for the blue and 2 k less for the black and white
But suzuki has a prompt service as other members have said so decided to gave them the quoted money and only after paying them and taking the bike home will lodge the complain with the bill
Suggesting you to tell them to break every expense on the bill so there is nothing for them to lie
And for the advance its 10 k in kolkata too for they said the bike is selling like hot cakes but supply is short they are getting 4 bikes if they order 50 so they are not taking any chances and taking a beef odlf money to be sure that the customer will remain prompt
And for the test ride there is a handfull of people who have done enough good in the past a life to get a test ride coz they are short of bikes
And the gear shift pattern wont hurt you because the downshift from neutral to 1st you will only try only when starting and when in a heavy traffic
For the rest upshift into 2nd gear and clutch will do the rest
P.s. i know the feel of waiting..
                Ride safe
                Happy revving

As told before shift from 2nd to above and use clutch for heavy shifts will also affect mileage
Only while starting from standstill or in traffic use 1st
Hence no confusion thats the solution

And moreover you will have a gear shift indicator
So take reference of it until you get a hang of it

The one considerable experience youll get on gixxer as soon as you start will be the adrenaline rush
You wont have a problem with gears but surely will get Problem with restraining yourself within that 4.5k rpm band

                            Hi sshinde555,
Even i have ordered the Gixxer SF Moto GP edition from Dolphin Suzuki 17th of Last month.
There were around 6-7 people before me in the list.
Yes, they don't have demo of SF, had to take the naked Gixxer test drive instead.
The OTR on the official Suzuki website for Mumbai is 99238. They are providing extra stuff like cover, helmet (asked them to replace that with something else as i would be buying my own helmet) and extended warranty so 100500 is ok IMHO.
I had to give 10K booking amount as well.
Now desperately waiting for next month as the SF gets delivered. Hate this extremely long wait...

Hey Dude thanks for you reply ... Just want to ask you did they own explain you why they charging OTR 100500/- instead of 99238/-, or you have to fight for these price increase, why i am asking you because it will help me bargin in that amount as i am also required the parking cover, as if they not provided it in same amount i am going to buy it from them, so this will save my some cost, also i am also going to buy helmet from outside instead of them, so what i can ask them with exchange of this ?? what you have exchange it with ?? & i heard for extended warranty amount is something around Rs.800/- is it right ??

Also with whom did you make a deal ?? Sales man or the owner Bhanushali ?? If sales man then what's is name??

Sorry for asking you all these question, as i am buying the new bike after 7 years..... so need to build some confidence level in myself...

                                Thanks In Advance...
