No. They didn't ask me anything because they didn't do anything like a proper repair.
The bike was all right and started without any problems..
They might expect some amount if they had to work on something.

Thats a good one! Even my cousin's Karizma R was having similar issue. He was so frustrated with regular Cold Start Excuses from the SVC and we took the bike to a friendly garage. He said one simple way to avoid it. whenever you face this issue, just open the fuel hatch/cover four a couple of seconds and shut it. Try to start. This happens due to air lock and the fuel supply is restricted. Though Karizma has small hole for this air lock issue, it gets easily clogged. This solution has worked for him and he does that whenever he face this issue.

4 possible solutions from the gixxer forum
1. check if there is anything under your seat that is blocking the air vents like blue book documentations raincoat or cloth etc if there is something take it away
2. if it persists while revving cut off the fuel
So the remaining fuel in the chamber is burned
Then turn the fuel on reserve go some distance then turn the fuel to its nornal position
3. Open the fuel hatch
And blow air in the tank with your mouth against the tank
The more pressure you can generate the better
Though it works in low fuel situation but its worth a try when your stuck
4.try to drive some distance with your fuel hatch open
(Dont do this if you have 12 litres of fuel on board)

The problem is a common problem inherited from gixxer
Airbubbles form inside the fuel chamber and cause the fuel to engine to shut off
These are the procedures which others have used as remedy
And the rain isnt a factor every carb bike will be able to do just fine after 30 seconds of cold start
Just turn it on
Give a good rev and let it stay with the engine on for 30 sec and then fly away normally
Do this everyday on your first start
Do tell the svc guys the problem in the next servicing
And most of this problem was faced by members when they have changed fuel from another pump or refueled recently
If so try to refuel from another pump

P. S.

Hey, thanks for the reply which was very detailed.
And I think nobody would oppose you and reply something nasty...chill bro

Before I could read your reply on the forum, I experienced the bike struggled to pull past 3.5 k rpm and would give jerks as it happened earlier. So I took it to the svc.
There they suspected my fuel to be empty because the problem was gone once they turned the fuel knob to reserve. I came back with the bike and filled her up a bit of petrol...put the fuel knob to on position...and took her out for a ride.
But the problem was back again...
I tried turning the fuel knob back to reserve position and the problem vanished.
Turning it to on position brought the problem back...
I went back to the svc and told the guy.

He reflected my thoughts that the fuel entry into the engine might have been improper due to dirt accumulated in that knob.
Will get it corrected tomorrow hopefully since it was closing time.

You definitely have a issue with the fuel line mate
Type "gixxer troubleshooting" in youtube
You could see a video where a man faced simmilar issue
He went to service centre guy
He unscrewed the fuel pipe and cleaned it
And the uploader said the problem vanished
You can look at the video
And can even show to the svc guys for reference because on the video the procedure is perfomed by a showroom svc guy
Have a look

Thanks for the video referred.. debargha.kit2
I got my bike back from the svc... They told they looked at every aspect of the bike and found nothing wrong. Then they decided to empty the fuel tank. And told me that they found some really bad quality petrol in it. The mechanic told it was kind of muddy...
Told me to avoid the station which I used to go to.
They had filled her up with some fuel.. And I refueled her up some more...
And I have no such issues now.

Again. No offense though nor to put a dent in your belief. Dont you really think they are not already aware of this issue, Right from the Sales centres to the media themselves must have highlighted about the production capacity increase and loooonnnngggg queue to lay ones hand on it.

A few pain points of my Gixxer SF -

1. Low ground clearance - Whenever a pillon is present the bottom scrapes on tall speedbreakers. Shouldve given higher GC.
2. Clunky gear box - Presumably this will improves after 1st and 2nd service, but as of now the gear box has a lot of false neutrals inbetween 1-2, 2-3, 5-4, 4-3 etc. Mostly this is seen in start stop traffic.
3. Engine cutoff at low rpms - Happens at traffic lights when the engine is hot. Also happens some times when it is cold. Has reduced compared to earlier, but the issue hasnt still gone away.
4. Squeaking noise in rear and front brakes
5. Rear brake pedal play is more than needed, rear brake bike is very less(Incredibly weak rear brakes). Front brakes are great though.
6. Eco indicator never gets displayed - I always have that Lightening bolt symbol next to ODO. Irrepespective of speed/rpm(under 5k max). Is this an issue?

Has anyone else seen above issues and how are you dealing with it?
