A quick info - Many of you would b already aware, but for others' sake.....Please do not keep anything under yr seat, especially cloth, as that blocks the air passage to the engine and is terrible 4 its health...

Hello to all the proud SF Owners,

My brother is thinking of upgrading from his 6 year old honda twister to an moto gp edition gixxer SF.

He is 5 feet 11 inches in height and his requirement is daily commute for around 50 km, which mostly consists of highway journey.

Now his question is, that can a gixxer SF safely do high speeds above 90 and 100 continuously for more than 15 km with out any stress on the engine and at that these speeds what is its over taking capabilities like.

I know he is expecting a lot from a 14 bhp 155 cc motor, But I have seen people claiming its top speed to be around 122 and being very stable at high speed and very refined too.

I really envy you guys who have brought a gixxer SF, I swear if had not ridden a 180 and above cc motorcycles or if I had a bigger garage and wallet, I would have definitely brought this beautiful machine.

Congrats to each and every owner of the SF and gixxer and I hope suzuki launches a more powerful version of this motorcycle.

Looks like a surplus amount of bikes arrived this time...
As i have been waiting since may and the bike arrived last week.
Still haven't taken the delivery though as i still have to receive the Registration number from RTO.
How many days is it take for you to get the number from RTO? Looks like Dolphin is taking it's sweet time.....

Well... my gixxer sf has not arrived yet ... but most of the reviews say the bike has cruising speed of around 90kmph... but i doubt the overtaking capabilities of this bike at that speed though... as the engine rpm touches more than 6000 (max tourque it produces at 6k rpm) at that speed. But looking at the refinement of this bike... i doubt it would put lot of stress on engine at higher speeds... i've seen the speeds of 107 kmph at 8k rpm (highest power it produces at this rpm) ... so 90-100 kmph should be fine but i doubt the overtaking capabilities at that speed...

Even i've decided to buy this bike only for it's excellent handling and killer looks... who knows... i might buy Gixxer 250 too

True, the RTO is a pain now. Was disheartened to hear the SVC guy saying it will take 10 working days...
Let me know in how many days you get your Registration number...

May be the SVC guys giving are right.. its better to say 10 days and deliver it in 8 days rather than saying 5 days.

Thank you for the reply, I tried to get a test drive but the damn showroom people won't let me ride it past 40.

Well he has made up his mind and I will be a lucky second lover to the SF, as I can ride it when he is not around .

They might have given you the brand new bike which should be run under 40-50 (Run-in period)

I test rode the naked gixxer and I was mighty impressed... the bike went on till 70kmph in 2nd gear without any kind of vibrations at all... truly amazing... and i felt so much confident just bcoz of it's excellent handling... Just waiting to ride this on highways...

Hey did you able to do the PDI at kaveri shoroom ??? did you saw your bike before making full payment to dealer ??? asking you because at dolphin showroom they doesn't allow customers to do the pdi they kept the bike at bhivandi bike godown & ask customers to make full payment without seeing bike.. you only able to see the bike at your delivery day... does the same happens at kaveri showroom too ???? well the customer who already received the delivery from Kaveri is able to answer it...

What did you guys says does it good to accept the delivery of bike without doing PDI ?????

Hey.. i did ask the similar question to Kiran Suzuki, Goregaon... if i can see the bike before making the payment... and they too said the bike is at Bhiwandi godown and it will despatched from there only when i make the full payment... so here's what i am doing...

I told them that i will make the full payment and u can get the bike in the showroom... i will check the bike before you start the regn process. This is fine too.. as i can always ask for another bike or cancel it altogether if the bike has any problem since cancelation process says that we can cancel before the regn. And they agreed.

Go ahead and your showroom the same..

Well its a Miniature transformer version of ARCEE. You can get it at Hamley's.

There are many others as well and you may chose accordingly. I did not intend to use this as a keychain, and was meant to be a collectable.

Also, if you are looking out for the same piece, then you might have to go on a little hunt; because, this is a LEGION class collectible, and the ones now available in the market is deluxe edition, which has a terrible colour and no hole on the sides which you will need to hook up a chain to.
