So I have a confusion here.

The manual/ booklet states our reserve fuel capacity is 2.4 L. It also states that, when the fuel levels drop below 3L, the fuel mark on the display starts blinking, moreover when it further drops below 1.2L the fuel bar as well as the mark will blink, which I recently experienced too.

    My confusion here is, if

(#1.) I keep riding with the FUEL ON mode, never switching to RESERVE mode, why would the display indicate less than 1.2L mark? Theoretically, unless I dont switch to the RESERVE mode I shouldn't be able to consume the reserve fuel which is 2.4L and ideally the bike should hit a hault when in ON mode (owing to the fact that reserve fuel is inaccessible in ON mode.)

(#2.) If I keep riding in ON mode till the fuel exhauts and the bike stops, what amount of fuel will be remaining as reserve fuel under RESERVE mode?
When the bikes almost empty the fuel bar will be empty and will also blink. When I got my bike it had just 1lt of petrol and iirc that's what the display showed.
I fill up when theres one blinking bar, and that's before I hit reserve.

I guess my fuel indicator has messed up. Even on full petrol it shows the top fuel bar empty.

I was actually curious to know, because it was screwing up my FE calculation. But, then I just calculated by Km (trip - last full)/L (till full again). Getting a FE of 42.3 kmpl, not bad

Gixxer has big problem of low ground clearance and hats off to Suzuki for looking after this issue. They are providing Skid Plate at Rs.1600/- to safeguard your Suspension from tall speed brakers or big pot holes. somehow i'm not able to put the pics of it... but definitely going to install it in my Gixxer...

This should be free or 200/300rs for existing customers, they are making us pay a huge amount for their manufacturing issues. We/customers should file petition against this.

I don't know how safeguarding Suspension come in this picture the first thing that scrapes is the under belly silencer, now by adding this 1600 plate under the belly does it increase the ground clearance ? No but in opposite. Suzuki now a days just focusing on cosmetic things like stickers & aluminium frame I wish they would have offered bottom engine cover just like Apache

Sorry... it was mistake... i meant to safeguarding underbelly silencer... of course its not gonna increase the ground clearance but at least silencer will be protected direct impact...

                              Hi guys,

At first Sorry about my bad English...

On 25 th November I got my Gixxer sf.. After 20 days of waiting... From value motors Bangalore... I didn't get the toolkit

                              This is my first bike..

Riding with very caution in 40 - 50 kmph range...

Sometimes I couldn't believe im the owner of a bike like this..

Almost everyone asked about the bike and its price in half an hour.. Wn i rode from showroom to my home... I smiled harder... That every owner wants... All thought it is 250cc.... At that time only I felt little hurt to say its only 155cc...

                              Now I crossed 550 km...
Don't know the exact mileage but I'm sure its not below 40.. Just by randomly calculate between reserve to reserve...

As everyone knows.. The bike is smooooth...

Road grip and suspension is awesome.. I love MRF tyres for its quality and durability..

First I feared to ride at traffic but now im doing it easily...

                              Need care about mirrors...

Ground clearance is low and my stand touched the ground at very bad road but not often..

                              Headlight power is not sufficient...

On straight road its moving like a wind... With no vibrations, no effort..

But at slopes it takes breath.... Dont know is it bcz I'm moving at low speed around 40 kmph...

But in handling I'll give 100 out of 100... I'm facing no issues.

Rear break is not that much good... But front break is awesome..

Bike switched off at lower rpm..

Not yet done any long rides...

Few days back my bike get off when going beyond 3000 rpm I got feared and take it to the service centre... There the guy simply removed a cloth under the seat which i put directly over the air filter...

Will share my experience after my first service!!!!
