        Hi,

Anyone please confirm whether fairing in SF can be removed and installed on need basis? Have anyone removed the fairing so far?. Thanks

Well, this is a query for http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...0-helmets.html thread, but you can choose Studds Shifter if your budget is within 2500.
Please go through the above mentioned thread for more details.

Just got the vehicle back from third service. Oil filter and oil changed. Airfilter and spark plug was told will be changed by the mech when I gave for service. But they have just cleaned it stating that it's still in good condition.

            Total charge 510.

Interestingly they are using motul 10W40, I asked the about idematsu. They simply had no idea. It's the same SS they are using still.

            • Power loss

I have now clocked around 1000 kms.
1st service is also over. Rpm is now set at 6K.
When the RPM is at around 5K-6K, I can feel power loss, is it because I have set RPM at 6K ?

Thats the gear shift indicator and not a limiter, it just blinks when your RPM reaches 6k and does not control the RPM whatsoever.

Should I contact service center with this issue ?

Some svcs usually mess around with the carburetor setting on the first service, if there is a drastic change in performance then u can go enquire and get it fixed.

                    • Fairing concerns

                      Hey guys,

After a lot of research for a sub 1 lac bike as my first, I've zeroed down to Gixxer SF.
I love SF's looks but have a few queries regarding the fairing -

                      * Of what material is the fairing made of ? Is it durable or I'll have to keep spending bucks on getting it repaired ?
                      * Does the fairing make filtering through traffic much difficult compared to naked Gixxer ? (with mirrors folded)

Also, is it worth considering Hornet/Hunk (2016) ?

Filtering through traffic is a breeze of course with the mirrors folded. Otherwise the mirrors will give u trouble in heavy traffic.

Fairing seems to be some sort of plastic. Already there are some scratches in my fairing due to the office parking. We can't control that. They lift and move the bikes around to make space for more bikes.

I am thinking of changing my left side fairing since it has deep scratch marks. It will cost me 1.5k

I am facing constant wind hitting my helmet. Why is it so just at speeds above 55 km pH. Gixxer sf owners please please help and comment

I have been on highway rides in 4.5k of total 8k km I have on this bike. I can drive in speeds of 100+ for hours. Yes wind does hit ur helmets, because the wind shield is not that big like in Ninja's.

If your very bothered by it, u have to tuck in. Just like leaning over the tank will help a little bit. Wind does hit but not like riding a naked over 100km/h bad.

Does anyone feel that the mirrors of the SF are too long? i find trouble sometimes while filtering through traffic.
Also has anyone installed any alternative mirrors?

You can install naked Gixxer's mirrors or go for bar-end mirrors.

                                Anybody from Delhi here ?
Planning to get my Gixxer SF from RDB Suzuki and booking via Snapdeal. Any feedbacks or alternative dealership would be great.
