I need some suggestions and opinion about the gear box of our bike? In my bike gears are so clunky and tight I am experiencing pain in my foot it hurts a lot even my old pulsar had better shift and easy.
Sometimes shifts are jerky during the first service I said about this in svc they said we'll look now 700 more kms left for 2nd service I don't have any idea

I clean and lube chain at home with 3M chain lube and my gears get super smooth for the next ~300kms. The gears get better with time.

Clean and lube the chain whenever you see the o-rings have dried up.

Chain should should not be too tight/loose.

There should not be too much of free play in clutch cable than recommended.

Completely close throttle while shifting up gears, pull in clutch lever completely, shift should be quick, gentle and positive. In my experience, the pulling-in of the clutch lever, shifting the gear lever and closing the throttle are near-simultaneous.

Use correct level and correct viscosity of engine oil.

Check the way you tuck your foot under the gear lever - adjust the angle of the gear lever if required.

New to the forum. Booked a Gixxer SF rear disc version and expecting the delivery this Tuesday. Looking for some advice on replacing the stock headlight with a projector headlight.

The clutch lever on my bike is a bit loose. Do I need to adjust as soon. My bike 2nd service is on May 9th, do I need to wait till that. Also does a loose clutch affects mileage?

Go to any local shop any do it yourself
Its not rocket science and should not be held till the free service period

                          • Zero dep insurance claim.

                            Hey folks.

I am gonna put my bike under parts replacements like side fairings, handle, exhaust cowl, fork alignment, etc. i am gonna claim it under Zero dep insurance. Any
The SVC guy saw my bike and said it could cost around 14-15k and that I would have to bear 2-3k. I am suprised, because as far as I know, zero dep is supposed to cover everything. Also, it was weird, that when I told him SVC guy that I am here to claim, he said plastic coverage is 40-45%. But then I was like isnt this a zero dep insurance, after hearing that he changed his BS estimates.

Can anyone share their experience with Insurance claims and how long from the date of accident can we claim?

Very less tampering has been done to the stock handle clamp base, so won't affect the warranty. Handle locks properly. Had to lathe out two custom fork caps where the handles are clamped. These are longer than the stock ones which didn't have a stem to attach the handle. So basically a very satisfactory job at a very reasonable price. The best part is now the bike looks like a mini-busa!!! [emoji16] [emoji41] [emoji7]
